1. Adam Port, SG Lewis & Keinemusik, “Be The One”
“Be The One” » Keinemusik » 2026
First and foremost, “Be The One” features colorful, ultra-sleek production. With the music vibrant and buttery smooth, the epic, rhythmic percussive groove adds some punch. The backdrop is fuel for SG Lewis’s fire. He sounds calm, cool, and collected as he sings. Chill, engaging, and expressive, Lewis brings the memorable melodies and lyrics to life with superb flair. “’Cause I should have held you / When you were in my arms,” he continues singing in the verse, and adds, “Just stay forever / And everything is calm.” The chorus, unsurprisingly, reiterates the titular lyric… a lot! Even with such tunefulness, “Be The One” feels like it’s more about the aesthetic and the vibe. It’s hypnotic, sucking you into its loops, repeated rhythms, and riffs. Even with ample repetition, Port, Lewis, and Keinemusik ensure there is never a dull moment. There is just the right amount of contrast and variation. In short, “Be The One” is a satisfying, well-rounded electronic bop.

2. Alex Warren, “FINE PLACE TO DIE”
“FINE PLACE TO DIE” » Atlantic Recording Corporation » 2026
Warren is in full-on sincerity mode. He seems like a heart-on-the-sleeve type of fella. Alarmed by potential life-changing traumatic events, Alex, dedicated to his bae, asserts, “But here in your arms / Seems like a fine place to die.” Woo! In the second verse, Warren shouts his love from the mountaintops… essentially. “Love me like a scandal, wreck me like a wave / Take me back to the place I remember,” he sings, and continues, “We could light a candle, put a record on / ‘Til we turn into ashes and embers.” The chorus, the crème de la crème, sums up the power of their bond. Even with the world on fire, “Take my body, and I’ll be / the soul you come crashing into.” Aww. The bridge, which distinguishes itself from everything else, continues to promote a seemingly unbreakable union. This section finds him bringing things down before building them back up to grand heights. Warren sings beautifully throughout “FINE PLACE TO DIE”; you buy what he’s singing, given his authenticity and radiance. Also, amplifying the listening experience is the cinematic, dramatic backdrop. The strings are divine, the piano is warm, while the beat hits you right in the chest with its syncopated rhythms. Ultimately, it’s another pleasant song and thoughtful performance by Alex Warren. He even pushes his voice more towards the end, which is a win.

3. Chaka Khan, “Chakzilla”
“Chakzilla” » EarthSong Records / BMG Rights Management (UK) Limited » 2026
“I know that I am great
(I’m a giant, I’m a giant)
I know the rules I’ll break
(I’m a giant, so come up come up come up)
Forever, my heart aches
(I’m a giant, I’m a giant)
Cos you’re my equal
I’m a giant
I’m a giant.”
GIANT, indeed! In short, “Chakzilla” is a soulful pop bop by the legendary Chaka Khan. She has nothing else to prove at 73, but SIS ATE DIS UP, PERIODT!

5. Chris Brown, “Fallin’” (Ft. Leon Thomas)
BROWN » RCA Records / Chris Brown Entertainment » 2026
“Fallin’” is DIFFERENT for Chris Brown in the best way possible. Brown has always been talented in my eyes. Sometimes, the material he’s recorded has been underwhelming relative to his musicianship. The voice has always been distinct, oozing with soul. On “Fallin’”, he wisely embraces old-school, traditional R&B/soul, and it’s a match made in musical heaven. Brown performs the intro, first verse, pre-chorus, and chorus, with contributions from Tank. The theme: L-O-V-E and heartbreak. See exhibit A, verse one: “For you, girl, I would have gone through the fire / almost lost my soul.” The chorus, excerpted earlier, finds Brown professing his love to the fullest. Leon Thomas takes the reins in the second verse, delivering his own top-notch vocals. “I loved you until the casket,” he sings, and concludes, “I just wish we could get past it / Burnin’ bridges ‘til our paths meet again.” Now that is some deep stuff, right there. Brown handles most of the second chorus, with assistance from Thomas and Tank. He leads the way during the bridge, where she’s done a number on him: “Can’t just go ghost on me,” and, “Killing me, I’m in agony / Got my soul (Let me breathe).” Authentic, dramatic, expressive, nuanced, and sincere, Chris Brown is on another level on “Fallin’”.

7. Demi Lovato, “Low Rise Jeans”
It’s Not That Deep (Unless You Want It To Be) » DLG Recordings, LLC / Island Records » 2026
“Low Rise Jeans” features lush choral vocals in the introduction. Demi Lovato sets the tone at the end of the intro, dropping a key, recurring word: “work.” Work Lovato does throughout the sexy single. She is accompanied by superb production. A danceable electronic pop track with a hint of R&B, Lovato sounds like she’s in her zone. Those vibrant keys and synths, anchored by a strong beat, give her a serious lift. Of course, Demi is terrific – an incredibly talented singer. She delivers sexy, sultry vocals, bringing the tuneful melodies to life. The lyrics are naughty and titillating. “My black G-string, peeking out from the corners…” Holy shit, Demi! Continuing in the revealing pre-chorus, her head wants connection, “But my lips and my hips, they got other plans.” Gah-day-um! The sexiest moment of the song should come as no surprise: the chorus.
“I’m in my low (Low) rise (Rise) jeans (Work)
You don’t need your imagination
I’m in my see (See) through (Through) tee (Shirt)
I can feel your anticipation.”
The post-chorus continues the ‘hot and bothered’ experience with pushing and pressing up… The bridge marks another high-flying moment, setting it apart from other sections. Still, sex remains a common thread: “Oh, what’s underneath, nothing’s forbidden /… You don’t need your imagination.” Demi Lovato gets down and dirty on “Low Rise Jeans”, and who would have it any other way?! Dis shyt sexy!

8. Diljit Dosanjh, “Morni”
The Call of Panjab » Famous Studios » 2026
“Morni” is a whole vibe; it is infectious and irresistible from the jump. The groove is electrifying, embracing the rhythms of Punjabi music in all of its glory. Woo! Beyond those sickening drums, the Indian instrumentation/sounds are full force, creating a scintillating listening experience. It’s refreshing and contrasts with the tried-and-true music heard stateside. Besides the kickassery exhibited by the respective instrumentalists, Diljit Dosanjh kicks ample ass himself… and takes names! His vocals are enthusiastic, expressive, exuberant, and incredibly nuanced. His phrasing = impeccable. The melodic lines are incredibly rhythmic and tuneful to the nth degree. Honestly, there are no notes with this one – he ate and left no crumbs! Does it matter if you don’t understand a word of Punjabi? Nope, at least it didn’t to me. The moment you hear “Morni” in the hands of Diljit Dosanjh, it feels moving, right, special; one of one.

9. Dom Dolla & Tiga, “Don’t Worry Baby”
“Don’t Worry Baby” » Three Six Zero Recordings / Columbia Records » 2026
Dom Dolla and Tiga cook on “Don’t Worry Baby.” The musical backdrop is ear-catching, fresh, and vibrant. In dance music, the expectation is that the production is on point, and Dom Dolla and Tiga don’t disappoint. A ferocious groove and rhythmic, colorful keys and synths fuel the fire. Beyond the instrumental, the vocals (by Tiga) and the lyrics are fabulous. Most of the lyrics feature the titular lyric with some variations that follow. The lyrics, “This ain’t the end,” play a key role. Beyond the “Don’t worry baby…” and “This ain’t the end” lyrics, there is a reflective section with additional lyrics. You could label it as a chorus of sorts; it occurs twice.
“Another evening
I stay awake
I lay here staring
Right into space
I wanna slow down
Ain’t gonna last
I miss my future
Rewind the past…”
Woo! All told, “Don’t Worry Baby” is a bop-and-a-half. Great production, memorable lyrics, tuneful melodies, and a strong, attitude- and effects-filled vocal make this a surefire dance music winner!

10. Durand Bernarr, “AM I OKAY?!”
BERNARR. » Durand Bernarr / DSING RECORDS / Create Music Group Inc. » 2026
Yes, there are lots of writers and producers, but the results are well worth it. The musical backdrop is electrifying. It is groovy, sleekly produced, and perfect fuel for Durand’s vocal fire. Thundercat ate and left no crumbs on the bass! That said, Bernarr doesn’t need much motivation to deliver a top-notch performance. He sounds commanding, confident, expressive, and nuanced, and gives us all the things. Those runs? Ooh-wee! It seems like every time he picks up the mic, he’s on autopilot. That is the case on “AM I OKAY?!” where he delivers another authentic performance that oozes with grit and soul. Beyond his voice, the melodies catch the ears the first time you hear the song. The theme and lyrics are memorable, too. Durand is in a vulnerable state, admitting, “I’m a loner, and as sad as that may seem / Doctor, I just wanna know, oh.” What does he want to know? Per the chorus and titular lyric, “Am I (Am I) okay?” The second verse grows spicier, thanks in part to a timely f-bomb: “I think I ran out of fucks / ‘Cause something ‘bout it don’t make sense.” What’s he referencing? Life specifically matters of the heart. On the bridge, he cleverly uses the metaphor of being on the road, trying to get home. Topping a banger like “Wild Ride” is tough – that shit slaps something fierce. But the heartfelt “AM I OKAY?!” is simply irresistible in its own right, even if DB seems to be on the struggle bus.

11. Erika Vikman, “Adam & Steve”
“Adam & Steve” » Warner Music Finland » 2026
If you’re gay or an ally, “Adam & Steve” shouldn’t offend you in the least. Why? This is a song about love is love, NOT a persecution of Christianity or God. Is this a hymn? Absolutely not, particularly the snakes 🐍 mentioned during the infectious, gay-affirming chorus 👀:
“Have you heard the story about Adam and Steve?
Boys are doing fine, doing fine without Eve
Tonight, there will be two big snakes in Paradise
Have you heard the story about Adam and Steve?
Swinging in the clouds, love is all that we need
Tonight, there will be two big snakes
‘Cause God makes no mistakes
Tonight, there will be two big snakes in Paradise.”
Those snakes mean multiple things, confirmed by the swinging mentioned 😈. The chorus is the crowning achievement, with its tuneful melody and memorable lyrics. Of course, Erika Vikman brings it vocally. Also, she nails it in the verses. “There’s no forbidden fruit, so go and try them all,” she asserts in the second verse, and concludes it like the first, singing, “Spread your wings, do your thing / ‘Cause no one cares in the end.” She should be right, BUT, we know far too many politicians, pastors, and myopic individuals are worried about what’s happening in certain bedrooms and such. In the fun breakdown section, Vikman continues to affirm her support: “A-D-A-M and Steve / In L-O-V-E we believe.” Supported by a vibrant, electronic pop backdrop, Erika Vikman creates a gay anthem for the ages with “Adam & Steve”. LOVE IS LOVE, PERIODT!

12. Honey Dijon & Jacob Lusk, “Satisfied”
The Nightlife » SOS » 2026
“I’m black like my granddaddy and my great-great-great-great-grandmother
Black is that lift every voice and sing
Black is that letting your freedom ring and resound
Black is adjective, adverb, color, and noun.”
Just as this speech did in 2019, it gets the listeners hyped up on “Satisfied,” establishing a satisfying listening experience.
With the tone set, an electrifying percussive groove. Do you know what else kicks in? The high-flying vocals by the incredibly gifted Jacob Lusk. Did you hear the former American Idol contestant pay tribute to Elton John? Lusk’s falsetto is utterly sublime. He marvelously performs smooth, tuneful, and rhythmic melodies. The chorus, excerpted earlier, is incredibly memorable. Beyond the chorus, I adore the unapologetic post-chorus, which features more synths and some timely f-bombs. “I ain’t the one to play with, don’t you fuck with me now,” he sings, and continues, “Don’t you play with me, don’t you fuck with me now.” There is also an entertaining spoken-word/rapped second verse, backed by the jazz-rap backdrop (“I’m in need of satisfaction, talking about word and action / Leave it all on the floor, drippin’ head to toe with hella passion”). As “Satisfied” progresses, it only grows more satisfying. There are additional instruments, riffs, ideas, etc. Honey Dijon, assisted by Lusk, throws the whole kitchen sink into “Satisfied”, recording a bop that NEVER fails to satisfy the ears.

13. JORDY, “DUMB”
“DUMB” » JORDY / EMPIRE » 2026
First and foremost, let’s be clear: “DUMB” is not dumb. It’s a lustful, up-tempo bop. The production is electrifying, embracing pop, pop/rock, and synth-driven vibes. JORDY rises to the occasion, singing atop this intriguing backdrop, delivering playful, talk-sung vocals (at times) and plenty of attitude. Thematically, as the excerpted lyric from the first verse suggests, he isn’t thinking deeply regarding L-O-V-E or, better yet, S-E-X. What he knows is, “You gotta nice face, and you gotta nice bum / Come back to my place, baby, we can get stupid, we can get” – wait for it – DUMB! In the second verse, he confirms his dumb lust: “Subtract a few clothes, baby, I could go south.” No doubt about what he’s getting at there. The chorus is infectious on this playful, utterly dumb (in the best way possible) cut:
“Dumb, dumb, dumb
I might need to fall in love, love, love
Come on over, baby, shut me up
Maybe we could get, maybe we could get
Dumb.”
Another superb moment is the bridge, which distinguishes itself from everything else. There is also a bit more meant on the bones, while still being D-U-M-B. “I got what you need, bring your appetite.” Yep, JORDY is still talking about sex! All told, JORDY ate and left no crumbs on “DUMB”, one of his most fun and infectious songs to date.

14. Joyce Wrice, “Crack The Code”
“Crack The Code”» Joyce Wrice Music Inc. / BMG Rights Management (US) LLC » 2026
“Crack The Code” features sleek production. From the opening notes of the musical accompaniment, my thoughts are, this is how a contemporary R&B song is supposed to sound. Beyond the marvelous backdrop, Joyce Wrice does her big one, vocally. She delivers sexy, soulful, and sultry vocals. Singing expressively, Wrice masterfully brings the memorable lyrics and tuneful melodies to life. Thematically, “Crack The Code” is tried and true: it’s all about L-O-V-E, baby. Even if the theme is familiar, it never grows old! Wrice sells the fact that this lover got it right – cracked the code – superbly. The chorus is the crème de la crème, celebrating this true love:
“You make me feel so good-ood
You cracked the code
You got my soul
Had a feeling you would-ould
You cracked the code
You got me sold.”
In short, Joyce Wrice nails it on “Crack The Code”. Awesome vocals, relatable and thoughtful songwriting, and vibrant production make this a must-have on any R&B playlist.

15. Lana Del Rey, “First Light”
“First Light” » Lana Del Rey / Universal Music Operations Limited » 2026
First and foremost, Lana Del Rey brings it vocally on “First Light.” Her tone is beautiful, haunting, indulgent, and all the things. She is the perfect vocalist to helm a James Bond theme. The melodies are divine, with the lyrics compelling, too. “Baby, come on / You know what you’ve always wanted to do,” she sings in the second verse, and continues, “But there’s one life for you.” The orchestration supporting Del Rey is cinematic, dramatic, and dynamic to the nth degree. This is fitting for a video game or film soundtrack, particularly the Bond franchise. There is typical pop/rock instrumentation, alongside the lush, soaring strings and inescapable horns. The chorus is big, supported by assertive, highly articulated, biting horn riffs. Lyrically, it’s a high-flying, memorable moment for Del Rey:
“Can’t say I’m surprised to see you running towards the sun
Like a moth to a flame (Hey)
People try and stop you, but all the fates just watch you
Dying just to know whether you’ll play your life like a game.”
“First Light” is a triumphant moment for Lana Del Rey.

16. Lizzo, “BITCH”
BITCH » Nice Life Recording Company / Atlantic Recording Corporation » 2026
Despite a polarizing title, “BITCH” has a lot going for it. It is incredibly groovy, featuring well-rounded production and a pleasant, rhythmic backdrop. Lizzo has ample fuel for her fire, though she’s a force herself. She ‘brings it’ when she sings; she delivers stellar rhymes, and a compelling cadence and flow when she raps. The elements of both songs sampled are prominent; “She’s a bitch” recurs throughout the verse, while Brooks’ lyrics fuel the fire in the chorus:
“I’m a bitch, I’m a lover
I’m a child, I’m a mother
I’m a sinner, I’m a saint
I do not feel ashamed
I’m a mess, I’m a queen
And everything between
You know you wouldn’t want it any other way.”
Probably not, Lizzo. Lizzo makes “BITCH”, her self-described WOMANIFESTO work, and I’m here for it!

18. Madonna & Sabrina Carpenter, “Bring Your Love”
CONFESSIONS II » Boy Toy Inc. / Warner Records Inc. » 2026
“Bring Your Love” begins with Madonna singing in a breathy, sultry fashion, with echo and reverb vocal effects (“Ask yourself this / What are you doing it for?”). She sets the tone on this dance-pop record, introducing Sabrina. Sabrina follows up, addressing ‘Madonna,’ and giggling. Meanwhile, a strong groove, readymade for the dance floor, accompanies. Post-introduction, this old/new school duet kicks off, with the ladies duetting consistently. They trade lines in both verses and pre-choruses. Madonna leads the charge in the first verse and pre-chorus (“Don’t comment on my ideas / I don’t want your judgment or your expectations”), while Sabrina takes the reins in the second verse and pre-chorus (“Don’t rely on my moral compass / Or my discretion, I have a confession”). In the chorus, the centerpiece, where the love is brought, both get their time to shine.
“Bring your love ‘cause you cannot shake me
Bring your love (Bring it) ‘cause you’ll never break me
Bring your love (Bring it) ‘cause you cannot take me down.”
The bridge distinguishes itself from the rest of the song. Madge and Sabrina continue to collaborate, concluding, “I DID IT ALL FOR LOVE.” YASS! Ultimately, these two pop superstars bring it on “Bring Your Love”. Both sing well, infusing attitude and personality. The song is catchy; a crowd-pleaser by all means. Furthermore, it’s well-produced, and there’s no way you can listen to this one without moving your body. THEY ATE AND LEFT NO CRUMBS!

19. Malcolm Todd, “I Saw Your Face”
“I Saw Your Face” » Columbia Records » 2026
“If I could wish for anything
It would all come back around
‘Cause if all you were, were next to me
I’d live without a frown.”
The heartbreak is real. Beyond the chorus, there is an extended refrain, which is rhythmic and far wordier. Even so, it’s alluring to the nth degree. “I saw your face while I was out / I turned around and looked away / I didn’t know what I would say / I’d fumble all over my words,” he sings reflectively. After another chorus, there is an instrumental section, before a shorter version of the refrain returns, in all of its rhythmic, tuneful glory. Todd concludes the song with a brief outro with the memorable lyrics, “Life’s not a movie, I’m not a movie star.” “I Saw Your Face” is another gem from Malcolm Todd. Heartbreak sucks, but his strong performance makes this bad situation sound much more optimistic than it is.

20. Myylo, “Dick Pics”
“Dick Pics” » Myylo » 2026
“Dick Pics” opens with a satisfying groove. Even more satisfying are the vocals and compelling, spicy lyrics. Myylo captures the prevalence of online adult entertainment in pitch-perfect fashion. He acknowledges the art, singing: “Many Michelangelos addicted to the flesh / The medium has changed, but the art is still undressed.” What a banger of a line! It reminds me why I loved Myylo’s music so much the first time I heard it. Later, he drops other gems like “Invented a language with emoji hieroglyphs,” and admits, “Got a lot of urges that I’m not trying to suppress / So reach out when you’re lonely for that digital caress.” In the chorus, Myylo admits his own NSFW activities. All the while, he teaches us how to spell important anatomy: D-I-C-K, and C-O-C-K. D-d-damn! The chorus, which is big, bold, and tuneful, is the crème de la crème:
“D-I-C-K
Dick pics on your phone today
I hope you like the way I shoot the instrument (Do you like it?)
…Are you into my body, on the screen
Cause this one’s between you and me.”
True art, those D pics! IYKYK! Anyways, it’s great to have the handsome, talented Myylo back making new music. Clearly, with the quality of this comeback gem, he’s no grower – he’s a shower!

21. Olivia Rodrigo, “drop dead”
you seem pretty sad for a girl so in love » Olivia Rodrigo / Geffen Records » 2026
The chorus is the crème de la crème, including lyrics like, “You’re lookin’ like an angel on the wall of Versailles,” and capping things off with the drop-dead lyrics excerpted earlier. The bridge also continues the delight of “drop dead,” bringing astrological compatibility into the picture. All told, “drop dead” is another bop from Olivia Rodrigo. She sings beautifully, expressively bringing the tuneful melodies and memorable lyrics to life. The harmonized vocals are EVERYTHING. The production is well-rounded as well, with its dance and electronic pop/rock vibes, delightful strings, and ample rhythm. Once again, the talent of this young pop superstar is on full display.

22. Queen Naija, “Ring”
“Ring” » Queen Naija / UMG Recordings, Inc. » 2026
“Ring” shines from the get-go. Why? A key reason is that this song sounds like an R&B track should. It’s lushly produced and oozes with passion. Love – authentic love – drives the song, and that’s crucial in R&B. As mentioned earlier, Queen Naija sings like an angel. She showcases the command, expressiveness, and sheer beauty of her instrument. As she sings about their love story, she is vivid. “All the times we coulda given up, but chose to push through,” she sings in the first verse, and adds, “But I reassured you through it all, you were made for me / And then you took my breath away when you got on one knee.” The second verse is no less passionate: “With tears in your eyes, you professed your love / You said that you always knew I was the one.” Of course, the crowning achievement is the chorus, where, “And now, it’s forever / And ever, and ever / No, there ain’t no more playin’ house, this is the real thing / I’m so proud to tell the world that I got my ring.” Love is in the air, PERIODT. Queen Naija makes it sound incredibly beautiful on “Ring”. What more is there to say? The music speaks for itself.

23. Shoreline Mafia, OhGeesy & Felix Flexin, “WOOD WIRE BUFFS
BIDNESS IS BOOMIN » Atlantic Recording Corporation » 2026
“WOOD WIRE BUFFS” slaps from the get-go. Shoreline Mafia has a great backdrop to rap over. The production has R&B vibes, with its looped, sensual, sung samples, anchored by an assertive, rhythmic beat. OhGeesy gets it going on the first verse. He gives no fucks whatsoever with a compelling cadence and flow. “Put an arch in your back, go and shake that shit / I can tell the way you dance, you can take that dick,” he raps boldly. That’s only the first couple of lines. He doesn’t hold back his lust nor his confidence and cockiness. After talking plenty of shit, he performs the song’s centerpiece, the chorus, excerpted earlier. Fenix Flexin takes the reins in the second verse. Like OhGeesy, he keeps it unapologetic and drops a mean cadence flow in his own right. “Baby, fuck with me, let me know something,” he begins, adding the likes of, “Yeah, nigga, big stick, it’ll make a nigga kickflip,” and the clever, “If you’re tryna get a bag, girl, let’s keep it platonic / She like, ‘Boy, that don’t make no sense’ / Hmm, fuck sense, baby girl, I’m tryna make us some dollars.” D-d-damn! OhGeesy concludes with the chorus. All told, Shoreline Mafia kick ass and take names on “WOOD WIRE BUFFS”. Entertaining rhymes, accompanied by a vibrant backdrop, seal the deal on this banger.

24. Slayyyter, “BROKE BITCH FREE$TYLE”
“BROKE BITCH FREE$TYLE” » RECORDS Label LLC / Columbia Records » 2026
“BROKE BITCH FREE$TYLE” commences with an intro that gradually grows louder – a crescendo! While the conversation is indecipherable without the text in front of you, Slayyyter provides insight: a drunk phone call with a friend, who proclaims, “I’m a fucking hillbilly.” It’s on brand for Slayyyter! After the intro sets the tone, an aggressive, hard-nosed backdrop, with pummeling drums, accompanies Slayyyter. She feeds off of this badassery with her own – she eats with those blunt, unapologetic rhymes. “Make it wet, wetter than the ocean, wet” needs no explanation, unless you’re that naïve… In the pre-chorus, she allows her bisexuality to run wild: “Wanna shake ass in my new jeans / Need a hot bitch to dance with me /… Need a nice man to roll my.” Ooh-wee! In the second verse, she informs us, “Pussy go berserk.” So, do we respond with an, ayy or merely a TMI? The chorus is a big deal, varied with each iteration:
“Broke bitch
Got these sunglasses from the gas station
South Florida is where I’m meant to take vacation
Spent all my money, wanna run it back
I’m annoying to your famous friends
‘Cause I don’t give a fuck.”
She is 100% correct on the latter line. Ultimately, rough around the edges, unapologetic Slayyyter is the way we love our WOR$T GIRL IN AMERICA! “BROKE BITCH FREE$TYLE” is brief, but once more, our electronic pop singer and rapper brings the heat.

25. The-Dream, “Bring That Body”
“Bring That Body” » Dreamboy Records / Republic Records » 2026
To reiterate, on “Bring That Body,” The-Dream intends to treat this lady right, something her ex failed to do. “Call it hatin’, but he ain’t shit,” he sings in the first verse, and adds, “And the word is, that nigga ain’t lovin’ you.” D-d-damn, The-Dream! But, it’s not all about L-O-V-E; sex is the modus operandi, too. In the chorus, the crème de la crème, her body is also on his mind. Call it the catalyst for the D going dumb, if you catch my drift!
“Shawty, bring that body over here
Leave that fuck nigga over there
Over there, over there,
Over there, over there.”
Woo! As always, The-Dream impresses with his ripe tenor. He doesn’t sound like he’s in his late forties. He sells the lyrics like a champ, even if they aren’t deep or transcendent. He makes his point crystal clear. Beyond eating on the vocals, the musical accompaniment kicks ass and takes names. It is vibrant and, ultimately, a familiar, tried-and-true sound for The-Dream. All in all, “Bring That Body” gives The-Dream an enjoyable, well-rounded song years after the most lucrative period of his music career.

26. The Kid LAROI, “I CONDEMN”
BEFORE I FORGET (Deluxe) » Columbia Records » 2026
Beyond a fiery LAROI, “I CONDEMN” features some badass production. The instrumental goes hard from the get-go – NO CAP! The Kid LAROI keeps the same energy, bringing ample swag. No longer a kid per se, Howard is still young (pushing 23), confident, cool, and captivating. His performance has melodic rap/pop-rap sensibilities. Sure, he’s landed in pop, but this joint has some hip-hop. The melodies are tuneful and rhythmic, riding the busy, intense, and sleek backdrop like a champ! Beyond the chorus, The Kid is honest about his condemnations! It’s not all condemnation, though. “I’m immature, I told her I’m home alone like I’m Macaulay,” he asserts in the first verse, and adds, “Come through, oh, baby, come through ‘cause I’m over performing.” OKAYYYY! In the second verse, he is dedicated to this girl, whoever she is: “I should probably thank your mother and your father and thank God / Thank God (Mercy).” She must be the whole new situation mentioned in the chorus. Beyond the two verses and the chorus, there is also a refrain: “You only come around when you need someone / Now she wanna bring a friend and have a threesome…” Word. All told, “I CONDEMN” is a short but sweet pop/rap banger from The Kid LAROI. The big takeaway… he condemns that shit. Deep!

27. Tove Lo, “I’m your girl right?”
ESTRUS » Pretty Swede Records » 2026
“I’m your girl, right?
Love me hard, it’s not my first time
I’m your girl, right?
Heart still aches, you wanna hurt mine
Tell me what I wanna hear now
Don’t make me doubt
I’m your girl, right?
Love me hard, it’s not my first time.”
Beyond the chorus, the verses and pre-chorus shine. Tove Lo delivers playful, well-rounded vocals from the opening to the closing tip. “Come brake me in, all horses win for you,” she sings in the second verse, and concludes, “We fuck all night on Ritalin-lin-lin-lin.” Wow! She gets fuel for the fire thanks to the sleek musical accompaniment. The driving, rhythmic groove takes the cake. Beyond the lit beat, the dance-pop cues stand out – the house piano, synths, and such. With “I’m your girl right?”, Tove Lo drops an enjoyable bop that has some edge.

28. Tyla, “SHE DID IT AGAIN” (Ft. Zara Larsson)
“SHE DID IT AGAIN” » FAX Records / Epic » 2026
“SHE DID IT AGAIN” features colorful production. The sounds are fresh and incredibly lush. The beat is infectious, an expectation of Afropop, Afrobeats, and, specifically, Tyla records. Tyla delivers radiant vocals, singing authentically and expressively. She draws first blood, performing the first verse, pre-chorus, and chorus. “I’m addictive, baby, what you want me to do?” she asks in the first verse. She references Sade in the pre-chorus: “No ordinary love, this is propane, no, it’s not safe.” The chorus is incredibly catchy – the crowning achievement.
“Uh-oh, uh-oh
Uh-oh, uh-oh, ‘She did it again’
Even when you feel like you can
You can’t get me out of your head.”
Ooh-wee! There is also the post-chorus, excerpted earlier, in all of its desire-laden glory! Zara Larsson keeps the same energy as Tyla, taking the reins in the second verse and the second pre-chorus. “Put a man on his knees, not tryna tease,” she sings in the verse, and continues, “Oops, did it again like Britney, that’s how it is.” D-d-damn! She collaborates with Tyla during the second chorus with great synergy. Tyla returns with the third and final verse, holding things down until the end. She drops two unforgettable lines: “I don’t like a fiend, don’t fiend, ease up / We are not a team; this is not FIFA,” and “Got a body like a bottle, doesn’t mean that you should spin the block.” Tyla, with the help of Zara Larsson, delivers the goods on “SHE DID IT AGAIN”, NO CAP!

29. Wyatt Flores, “Drive All Night”
“Drive All Night” » OEG Records, LLC / Island Records » 2026
“Drive All Night” shines from the get-go. It features a warm instrumental introduction. There is a fabulous blend of piano, guitar, bass, and drums. Adding to the instrumental ear candy are the fiddle (J. Spivey) and the organ (Alex Wright). But the star of the show is our young and incredibly talented Oklahoman. Wyatt Flores sings expressively, in a nuanced manner. He gives his all in his performance; I heart his authenticity and buy what he’s selling. One of my favorite aspects of his performance is how he slides up to specific notes. “Drive All Night” features tuneful melodies throughout. Also, check off the boxes for memorable lyrics and songwriting. “Girl, it’s been too long, and I need your touch,” he sings in the second verse, and concludes, “Counting miles down ‘til I see your face / Go get ready now ‘cause I’m five away.” Ooh-wee! The chorus is utterly superb:
“I’ll drive all night
Picture on the dashboard, pedal through the floor ‘til I’m by your side
I’ll drive all night
I ain’t getting no rest ‘til I’m in your bed, not just on your mind…”
His dedication and desire aren’t in question. Ultimately, Wyatt Flores does his big one with “Drive All Night”. He brings freshness to a genre that quickly becomes oversaturated with sameness. If you must drive all night, do so listening to this surefire bop.
