“I’ve been waiting for the day / Praying it will come / Feel like something’s on the way / To help me carry on.”
Ooh-wee! German DJ/producer Adam Port (Adam Polaszek), English singer, songwriter, and producer SG Lewis, and Keinemusik (founded by Port), concoct something truly special.  That special something is the single, “Be The One”. Port, Lewis, and Keinemusik put their foot into his one.  It was written by Port, Lewis, and Ed Drewett, while Port and Lewis produced it.

First and foremost, “Be The One” features colorful, ultra-sleek production. With Port and Lewis behind the boards, we expect no less.  Also, this is electronic music – the backdrop has to pop! With the music being vibrant and buttery smooth, the epic, rhythmic percussive groove gives it some punch.  The backdrop is fuel for SG Lewis’s fire.  He sounds calm, cool, and collected as he sings. Chill, engaging, and expressive, Lewis brings the memorable melodies and lyrics to life superbly. “’Cause I should have held you / When you were in my arms,” he continues singing in the verse, and adds, “Just stay forever / And everything is calm.”  The chorus, unsurprisingly, reiterates the titular lyric… a lot! Even with such tunefulness, “Be The One” feels like it’s more about the aesthetic and the vibe.  It’s hypnotic, sucking you into its loops, repeated rhythms, and riffs.  Even with ample repetition, Port, Lewis, and Keinemusik ensure there is never a dull moment.  There is just the right amount of contrast and variation. In short, “Be The One” is a satisfying, well-rounded electronic bop.
