Are you ready to beam with P-R-I-D-E? Beaming with Pride highlights songs by LGBTQ musicians and allies, offering background, analysis, and discussion of the decadent bops served up. All genres are welcome, and both classics and new songs are recognized. So, without further ado, in the 77th edition of Beaming with Pride (2026), we highlight “I <3 HOT GUYS” performed by Ramón.

“It’s summer! / Like we’re in the hottest country in the world, come on!”
And so, begins “I <3 HOT GUYS”! “I <3 HOT GUYS” is the fourth track from RAMUELO, the 2026 album by Norwegian pop singer-songwriter Ramón (Ramón Torres Andresen).  Most of the song is performed in Ramón’s native Norwegian, but the intro, excerpted earlier, is in English. Ramón wrote and produced “I <3 HOT GUYS” with Svenning Veiseth and Jens Idsø Andersen.

“I <3 HOT GUYS” is energetic and enthusiastic from the get-go.  The summer vibes, as the English lyrics indicate, are alive and well! The song thrives on its sunny, up-tempo groovy music from the get-go.  Superbly produced, the keys, bass, and groove stand out.   As electrifying as the music is, Ramón is the star with his clear, pure vocals. His falsetto is particularly intriguing and ripe.  The runs are none too shabby either. Ramón excels at performing the rhythmic melodic lines. Another win in the vocal department is the arrangement; the selectively layered vocals EAT AND LEAVE NO CRUMBS! For those of us who speak English, it’s hard to make much of the lyrics sans translation. But when you do translate them, BABY, the theme is loud and clear! “Men må vel ut å ta i gress [But I gotta go out and take in the grass],” he asserts in the second verse, and continues, “For jeg kan ikke dra til sengs med noen som bare gjør meg trist [Because I can’t go to bed with someone who only makes me sad].” Those pesky matters of the heart are at play, and those unavailable hot guys.  The chorus is the crème de la crème, summing up Ramón’s feelings:

“Elsker alle mine hot guys [Love all my hot guys]

Men de elsker ikke meg [But they don’t love me]

Jeg vil ha, jeg vil ha, jeg vil ha, jeg vil ha en [I want, I want, I want, I want someone]

Som behandler, handler meg, handler meg pent [Who treats, treats me, treats me nicely]

Jeg vil ha, jeg vil ha, jeg vil ha, jeg vil ha en som forstår [I want, I want, I want, I want someone who understands]

For alle mine hot guys velger alltid bare å gå [Because all my hot guys always just choose to leave].”

Those feelings and sentiments are universal, Ramón, unfortunately.  The good news is that “I <3 HOT GUYS” is a great song, even if hot guys aren’t great.  Great vocals, songwriting, and production make this a winner!
