“Don’t worry, baby, I understand / Don’t worry, baby, you’ve got a friend.”
Ah, to have a friend! To have a confidante! That’s big! Do you know what else is big? “Don’t Worry Baby”, a surefire dance bop by Australian music producer Dom Dolla and Canadian DJ Tiga. Dom describes the record as “a fantasy… a record about hope. Hoping that aliens actually exist and that one day they’ll take us from this planet…” Word. Dom Dolla and Tiga wrote and produced “Don’t Worry Baby.”

Dom Dolla and Tiga cook on “Don’t Worry Baby.” The musical backdrop is ear-catching, fresh, and vibrant.  In dance music, the expectation is that the production is on point, and Dom Dolla and Tiga don’t disappoint.  A ferocious groove and rhythmic, colorful keys and synths fuel the fire.  Beyond the instrumental, the vocals (by Tiga) and the lyrics are fabulous.  Most of the lyrics feature the titular lyric with some variations that follow.  The lyrics, “This ain’t the end,” play a key role.  Beyond the “Don’t worry baby…” and “This ain’t the end” lyrics, there is a reflective section with additional lyrics.  You could label it as a chorus of sorts; it occurs twice.

“Another evening

I stay awake

I lay here staring

Right into space

I wanna slow down

Ain’t gonna last

I miss my future

Rewind the past…”

Woo! All told, “Don’t Worry Baby” is a bop-and-a-half.  Great production, memorable lyrics, tuneful melodies, and a strong, attitude- and effects-filled vocal make this a surefire dance music winner!
