Grammy-winning rapper Ludacris comes back in a big way with his infectious, obnoxious, and unapologetic banger, “Pull Over.”
Ludacris matches the energy of the badass, obnoxious instrumental. Following the introduction, he eats on the chorus, excerpted earlier. He continues, “I said, ‘Pull over, nigga, pull over, man’ / I said, ‘Pull over, I’m just tryna get to know her, man.” Ooh-wee, Luda! In the verses, he keeps it nasty, and we’d have it no other way. “Now bend it over for me, I like it face down,” he spits in the first verse, and adds, “Girl, that’s a monster truck from the waist down.” Gah-da-yum! In the second verse, her “Body like a Coke bottle, I’m tryna take a sip,” and “I’m tryna break the springs in the summer, winter, fall.” Yup, utterly Ludacris! Ludacris doesn’t bring anything ‘brand-new’ to the table with “Pull Over”, but the nostalgia, and hearing the rapper rapping again, is a reward in its own right.
