“Inferno” begins with Shipway singing the titular lyric. He brings plenty of swagger to his performance. After the initial “Inferno,” Shipway sings in his native Finnish, excerpted earlier. Sleek, colorful production work supports him. The keys, synths, and grooves are electrifying! Samuel doesn’t just sing, either. He delivers an intriguing, rapped verse that contrasts those high-flying, pitched moments.

Speaking of pitch, more like pitches, the chorus represents the most tuneful, memorable moment of the song.

Not only is it hellish, but those matters of the heart are intertwined! A bridge section distinguishes itself from the verses and chorus, also bringing ‘the heat,’ if you will (“Miten voisin sulle ikinä riittää [How could I ever be enough for you?] Nyt liikit meitä niille, ne niille, ne niille [Now you’re comparing us to them, them, them]”). “Inferno” is hot! The good news is that this track won’t damn you to Hell itself. Instead, it is a welcome bop that is damn sure to amplify the listening rotation!
