Queen Naija, Ring [📷: Queen Naija / UMG Recordings, Inc.]With the proposal in the books, R&B singer-songwriter Queen Naija has marriage on her mind on the lovely, love-touting single “Ring.”

“No, there ain’t no more playin’ house, this is the real thing / I’m so proud to tell the world that I got my ring.”
Matrimony is written all over Queen Naija’s single, “Ring”.  Basically, he liked it, and he put a ring on it, and Queen Naija is ecstatic! If you are lucky enough to meet your person, get engaged, and eventually married, that is nothing short of special.  Throughout “Ring,” Naija sells this mighty love like a champ.  Her voice is stunning. She wrote the triumphant song with Troy Taylor, Dominique Moore, Goo Bon Jeong, and Lee Villegas. Taylor and Threevoni produced it.

“Ring” shines from the get-go.  Why? A key reason is that this song sounds like an R&B track should.  It’s lushly produced and oozes with passion.  Love – authentic love – drives the song, and that’s crucial in R&B. As mentioned earlier, Queen Naija sings like an angel.  She showcases the command, expressiveness, and sheer beauty of her instrument.  As she sings about their love story, she is vivid.  “All the times we coulda given up, but chose to push through,” she sings in the first verse, and adds, “But I reassured you through it all, you were made for me / And then you took my breath away when you got on one knee.” The second verse is no less passionate: “With tears in your eyes, you professed your love / You said that you always knew I was the one.” Of course, the crowning achievement is the chorus, where, “And now, it’s forever / And ever, and ever / No, there ain’t no more playin’ house, this is the real thing / I’m so proud to tell the world that I got my ring.” Love is in the air, PERIODT.  Queen Naija makes it sound incredibly beautiful on “Ring”.  What more is there to say? The music speaks for itself.
