ell, Scanning the Charts 📉  is just what it says it is.  I, the quirky founder and do-it-all at The Musical Hype scans through the Billboard Charts and picks out things that catch my eye. This column isn’t extensive, but rather short and sweet.  This week, I picked out six notable observations from the Billboard 200 📉, and six observations from the Billboard Hot 100 📉, with 🎙 Taylor Swift returning to no. 1, 🎙 Meek Mill debuting in the top 3, while 🎙 The Kid LAROI and 🎙 Justin Bieber return to no. 1 once more on the Hot 100.

Billboard 200 📉 

Meek Mill, Expensive Pain [📷: Atlantic]💭 Surprisingly, 🎙 Taylor Swift returns to no. 1 with 💿 Fearless (Taylor’s Version), in the set’s 25th week on the Billboard 200.  Last week’s no. 1 album, 💿 Sincerely, Kentrell, courtesy of 🎙 YoungBoy Never Broke Again, slips to no. 4.

💭 The highest debut on the Billboard 200 arrives courtesy of 🎙 Meek Mill.  💿 Expensive Pain bows at no. 3.

💭 The only other album to debut in the top 10 of the Billboard 200 is 💿 Love for Sale, the second collaborative album by 🎙 Tony Bennett and 🎙 Lady Gaga.  It launches at no. 8.

💭 🎙 Brandi Carlile debuts just outside the top 10.  💿 In These Silent Days bows at no. 11.

💭 Mustering up a modest top-40 debut, 🎙 Lil Wayne (featuring 🎙 Rich The Kid) bow at no. 35 with 💿 Trust Fund Babies.

💭 🎙 Andy Mineo arrives modestly to say the least.  💿 Never Land II bows at no. 152.


Billboard Hot 100 📉

The Kid LAROI, F*CK LOVE 3: OVER YOU [📷: Columbia]💭 🎙 The Kid LAROI and 🎙 Justin Bieber return, once again, to the top of the Hot 100 with 🎵 “Stay”.  🎙 Coldplay x 🎙 BTS see 🎵 “My Universe” plummet from no. 1 to no. 12 in its second week.

💭 🎙 Walker Hayes is “kicking ass and taking names” with 🎵 “Fancy Like,” which ascends from no. 5 to a new peak of no. 3.

💭 As to be expected, 🎙 Meek Mill sees some entries on the Hot 100 given the bow of 💿 Expensive Pain on the Billboard 200.  The highest entry from the Grammy-nominated rapper is 🎵 “Intro (Hate on Me)” which launches at no. 36.

💭 After several 🎙 Meek Mill entries, the next debut on the Hot 100 from a different artist comes courtesy of 🎙 Eslabon Armado featuring 🎙 DannyLux🎵 “Jugaste y Sufri” launches at no. 75.

💭 🎙 Skylar Grey, 🎙 Polo G, 🎙 Mozzy, and 🎙 Eminem debut at no. 78 with 🎵 “Last One Standing.”  

💭 🎙 TWICE earns some chart love with 🎵 “The Feels” which debuts at no. 83.
