“Truth means nothing when you look this way / Tell me your lies.” So, what happens when Grammy-winning country singer-songwriter Zach Bryan and Grammy-nominated alternative pop singer-songwriter Lana Del Rey collaborate? M-A-G-I-C, PERIODT! “Lies” is the brilliant country duet born from their musical labor! It is the third track from Bryan’s 2026 EP, Young Manhood and Other Donatable Organs. Bryan and Del Rey composed “Lies.” Bryan, Jamie McLaughlin, and Eddie Spear produced it.

“Lies” is gorgeous.  The arrangement, especially the strings, is divine. The overall production is the sugar, honey, and iced tea, too.  Zach Bryan and Lana Del Rey are the stars of the show, singing expressively and radiantly.  Their synergy is spot on; breathtaking and striking.  Bryan draws first blood, performing the first verse and chorus. “Tell me you’ll be there when I need you the most,” he sings, and continues, “Hold me close when the night turns to day.” The chorus is the crème de la crème:

“Tell me your lies, babe, your sweet little lies

Fill my heart with sweetness with the words that you say

Been seeking the truth all of my youth

Truth means nothing when you look this way

Tell me your lies.”

Lana Del Rey shines in the second verse: “Tell me you’ll always be right here forever / That you had them, but you want me better.” Bryan and Del Rey join forces in the second chorus, in all its glory.  Their duetting continues during the bridge, where both assert, “I’ll say anything just to see your little smile / How I’ll be here in the morning / Now I’ll be here for a while.” Word. Bryan takes the reins in the third and final verse, continuing to sing with incredible authenticity and sincerity.  Joining forces for the final line, Bryan and Del Rey conclude this high-flying duet in the final chorus.  Ultimately, “Lies” is nothing short of stunning.  This is how you do a duet!
