Troye Sivan, Party | Song Review

Grammy-nominated, South African-born, Australian artist Troye Sivan hits the dancefloor on his party-centric single, “Party.”

The point, Troye Sivan? It’s simple: “Party” everywhere! “Party” is the third track on the South African-born, Australian singer-songwriter’s fourth studio album, She’s the Best (arriving October 9, 2026).  ‘A lot of cooks in the kitchen’ composed “Party.” Tyde Levi, Rob LFO, Styalz Fuego, and Sivan produced it. Interestingly, “Party” samples the 2000 Madonna gem, “Music.”

“Party” begins with an unpitched, talk-singing excerpted earlier. This intro eventually becomes the party-centric chorus. A banging, hard-hitting beat provides a mean anchor.  Once the groove has established itself, Troye Sivan continues his rhythmic talk-singing in the chorus.  After getting the partying out of his system, there is panting like a dog – hard breathing from all that partying!  Finally, pitched falsetto vocals enter the mix: “Music makes the people come together.” Word. Thematically, it’s all about partying. Lyrically, beyond a few variations, what was excerpted here is about the size of it.  This track features lots of repetition.  This is NOT the deepest song Troye Sivan has released, but there’s little doubt you’ll move your body while listening. Between “She’s the Best” and now, “Party,” it’s clear that Troye Sivan is in experimental mode. She’s the Best should be interesting… or maybe, suspect…
