Kanye West & Lil Pump, I Love It [Photo Credits: GOOD / Def Jam]Continuing to struggle to produce hits lately, Kanye West, with Lil Pump, drops an utterly ridiculous, sexually-charged, superficial single, “I Love It.”

Kanye West and Lil Pump on the same track – isn’t that a bit ‘too hot to handle?’ Well, that’s exactly what goes down on “I Love It,” their new joint single.  Veteran rappers, such as West want to maintain relevancy, so it’s not totally surprising that he enlists one of the hottest newbies to collaborate with him.  If you’re Pump, well, you’re working with the Kanye West.  The results of their collaboration, “I Love It” is truly ‘something else.’ Understatement.

“I Love It” features a sexually-tinged, NSFW intro by actress/comedian Adele Givens: “‘Cause you know in the old days / They couldn’t say the shit they wanted to say / They had to fake orgasms and shit / We can tell n***as today: ‘Hey, I wanna cum, mothaf**ka.” Definitely a raunchy way to kick off “I Love It,” whose music video was premiered at the Pornhub awards.  That explains a lot.  This brief cut, lasting just north of two minutes, is certainly characteristic of SoundCloud rap in regards to duration and substance.

Lil Pump follows Givens’ opening ‘salvo’ with his own raw chorus: “You’re such a f**kin’ hoe, I love it (love it).”  Here he’s drenched in autotuned, performing with a pop-rap sensibility. Before the verse, he expands upon the chorus, asserting, “I’ma f**k a b*tch, tell her cousin / Your boyfriend is a dork, McLovin.”  Hey, at least Lil Pump has seen Superbad, which is an awesome, hilarious, coming of age movie. On his verse, Lil Pump remains shallow AF.  He boasts about material (his Ghost and jewelry), sex, and of course drugs.

Kanye West adds a “scoop!” to the following chorus, before dropping an interlude, pre-verse, and verse.  On the pre-chorus, not only does West accurately describe his perverted state of mind, he makes it clear what he enjoys: “I’m a sick f**k, I like a quick f**k (whoop!).”  On his following verse, he gets even more graphic about his sexual endeavors.  Yup, he doesn’t lie as he asserts, “I’m a sick f**k, I’m inappropriate.”  Givens sends us out with the reprisal of her dirty intro.

Final Thoughts

Perhaps Variety puts it best: Kanye West Drops Obscene, NSFW Songs With Lil Pump. “I Love It” is definitely superficial, period.  The production is bare-bones, minimal, and definitely unexceptional.  The rhymes are ridiculous and lack any sense of purpose.  The best part of the song? The music video, which is entertaining to the nth degree.  The song itself – definitely another trolling anthem from West.  Remember “Lift Yourself”?
