“If you want to experience driving energy, madness, and digital dystrophy, I’m a Cyber Pop music producer, singer, and digital artist, who simulates this for you through my music.” MIC DROP, 4ra 4ra! In response to our first burning question, the music producer, singer, and digital artist adds, “I strongly emphasize visuals and always connecting my digital art with my cyber pop music.” We get the inside scoop on 4ra 4ra’s genesis, goals, musical influences, and current, and future artistic endeavors. So, without further ado, let’s jump right into Getting to Know…4ra 4ra: Interview No. 402!

For those who may not be familiar with you, what would you say makes 4ra 4ra distinct or unique? How do you rock the audience’s socks off?

If you want to experience driving energy, madness, and digital dystrophy, I’m a Cyber Pop music producer, singer, and digital artist, who simulates this for you through my music. In my cybercore live shows 3D avatar characters dance with me. I strongly emphasize visuals and always connecting my digital art with my cyber pop music. I believe my experimentation in music is more pronounced because I don’t have roots in it. I access music as a designer, and I always say that I design the sound more than play the sound.

Let’s talk more about goals.  Have your goals or your perspectives changed since first starting out? What do your aspirations or goals look like now?

No, it hasn’t, still the same – to get better every day and bring a little bit of chaos to the world music industry. I’d also like to tour abroad in the near future and create an album that confuses people with its uniqueness.

Everybody is influenced by somebody else. Whom would you consider some of your biggest musical influences and how are they influential?

I really appreciate the sound-designing skills of Rezz, Deathpact, and many artists on the Aim to Head label. Artistically, in terms of artist branding, I sympathize with Grimes, Poppy, and Lucille Croft. Additionally, various video games, anime, and fine arts inspire me. As a gamer and virtual space colonizer, I would like to write songs about virtual realms.

Ah, the fun stuff.  What’s your craziest tour story or the wackiest thing that’s happened during a performance?  Feel free to be creative.

I had two shows in two different caves. It was pretty wild. I projected my visuals for the show onto the rock wall, so it felt like a ‘Digital Age Painting’ show.

Up until this point in your career, what would you describe as your favorite song you’ve recorded or performed live? What makes that song special?

I really like the latest release, “Need For Drift” because this song has been by far my biggest experiment ever. The entire timeline is gradually accelerating in tempo until it crashes and undergoes enormous changes. From synthwave to cyberphonk to techno to nightcore! It’s funny that it all started from my cover of the song,  “Tokyo Drift,” where I drastically chopped vocals into nonsense. Additionally, I pitched and bent the melody with a phonk-sounding bell. I also, I wanted to capture the kind of retro-modern synthwave vibe found in Kavinsky’s “Nightcall” in breakdowns. In the end I wanted my listeners to experience a dystopian cyberpunk atmosphere – ultimately, it’s solid chaos, something like a drifting JPOP song on drugs in a car crash.

Is there anything else awesome, cool, or left of center the world should know about you? Secret talents or surprising tidbits?

I’m a painter and digital artist originally. I have the master’s degree in fine arts. I create digital arts, post-produce videos, create 3D character designs and 3D fashion designs.

Closing out, what are you currently working on, promoting that you can share with us or want us to know about? We love secrets, but there’s no pressure.

We’re working on a new song collaboration with the German producer, Scarlett Scarlett and right after finishing this project I’m gonna jump over to the collaboration with the Brazilian producer, Leo Motoko. I’m gonna release the new remake of unreleased track, “Avatar”, which is mid-tempo with heavy distorted basses. I’m also planning to work on more complex work this year, maybe even an EP.

Thank you so much for sharing and taking the time to answer these questions, and best of luck moving forward.

Thank you<3
