Flo Milli, Too Bo$$y [📷: JIVE Records]Rapper Flo Milli is bossy AF on her confident, cocky, and entertaining, Kelis-sampling banger, “Too Bo$$y.”

“Flo Milli shit.”
Indeed, Flo Milli, but I must note that “Too Bo$$y” sounds familiar.  Why? Well, if you were young during the 2000s (a millennial, specifically), you will remember the Kelis song “Bossy”.  “Bossy” earned Kelis her second-highest-charting pop hit, behind “Milkshake”.  Producers Pooh Beatz, RIOTUSA, Allen Ritter, and Nico Baran sampled the two-decade-old pop hit. To me, “Too Bo$$y” may sound a wee TOO MUCH like the original, given the sampled track. BUT Flo Milli does make the song her own with her compelling cadence and flow, and those confident, unapologetic rhymes.

“Too Bo$$y” shares the backdrop with Kelis, but Flo Milli shines all by herself.  The chorus follows the intro, in all of its cocky and confident glory. “I’m too bossy to catch feelings for a ho / I should be exhausted, I been runnin’ shit for sure (Duh),” she raps, and continues, “Don’t ask me, ‘bout no nigga, baby, if you know, you know (Haha) / Bitch, I’m Flo Milli, put some mills on the floor.” Ooh-wee! She continues to cook in the verses, whether it’s “And I ain’t fuckin’ with no yes-man, bitch, you better not tell me no / Yeah, he treat me like a queen, but he fuck me like a ho,” or “When you get some fine shit (Yeah), is you cool with it? (Huh?) / I got all this ass, and you can’t tell me what to do with it.” “Too Bo$$y” is bossy asf, which was exactly what Flo Milli intended. All in all, it’s a short but sweet rap banger.
