“You won’t love another again (If you) / Let me love you better than him.”
Ezra (Ezra Daymude) speaks his love-driven peace on his refreshing single, “Let Me Love U Better”.  The moment the track starts playing, it hearkens back to the R&B of old; it feels meaningful and special.  The music oozes with soul and sounds authentic to the nth degree. That’s even more surprising when you learn that Ezra is only 19 years old(!).  He eats up this sophisticated-sounding, expertly produced love joint.

“Let Me Love U Better” consists of pro after pro.  First and foremost, Ezra delivers a mean vocal.  He sings with a cool, self-assuredness.  He’s commanding without ever forcing things or overdoing the ad-libs or runs.  A balanced yet potent performance makes it easy to buy what he’s selling. Supported by a modern but throwback backdrop, Ezra nails the better lover than her new man theme.  “Can’t no one love you like I do,” he sings in the first verse, and adds, “That was fast, hasn’t even been a month / So, I’m asking you to tell me / What’s it he do that I can’t do.” Relatable, relatable, relatable.  Confident about what he has to offer, in the second verse, he states, “The love I give can’t be erased / No matter how hard you try.” And that’s on PERIODT!  The chorus is the crowning achievement, led by the titular lyric, with Ezra adding, “I’ll be the man of your world /… You won’t love another again.” Ooh-wee! The final piece of the “Let Me Love U Better” puzzle is the bridge, which contrasts with the rest of the song, yet also fits the theme perfectly (“If his love don’t fulfill your needs (I can guarantee) / It’s cause he’s not me, baby”). Ezra proves not only that he has a bright future in the business, but so does R&B. Well done!
