“This is my exodus / I declare / This is my exodus / And I decree / This is my exodus / This is my exodus / Thank You, Lord.”
Yes sir! Grammy winner Donald Lawrence, The Tri-City Singers, and Grammy winner Le’Andria Johnson recorded a marvelous gospel song with “Deliver Me (This Is My Exodus)”.  “Deliver Me” is the 12th track from Lawrence’s 2019 Grammy-nominated album, Goshen. The moving song was composed by Lawrence, Robert Woolridge, Desmond Davis, Marshon Lewis, and Sir the Baptist (William Stokes). Lawrence produced it.

“Lord, deliver me

‘Cause all I seem to do is hurt me

Hurt me!”

The lyrics are few but impactful; powerful! Johnson’s vocals are dynamic; she sings with incredible authenticity, sincerity, and spirit.  Johnson leads, but The Tri-City Singers pack a mean punch, too. After Le’Andria’s first solo/lead, the choir petitions for deliverance, with Lawrence continuing to minister.  “God, rescue me from myself / From my overthinking,” he says wisely, adding more moving statements like “Hey! If My people, who are called by My name, would humble themselves and pray,” and “Seek My face and turn from their wicked ways, I will hear from heaven!” Amen! Le’Andria returns, ad-libbing and riffing superbly, while The Tri-City Singers emphasize the key lyrics, “This is my exodus.” A powerful song with great vocals, uplifting lyrics, and gorgeous, well-crafted production, “Deliver Me (This Is My Exodus)” never grows old.  This 2019 gem remains a gospel banger well into the 2020s. Also, check out a powerful cover by Korean Soul 💯.
