Are you ready to beam with P-R-I-D-E? Beaming with Pride highlights songs by LGBTQ musicians and allies, offering background, analysis, and discussion of the decadent bops served up. All music genres are welcome. Songs, old and new, are welcome as well. So, without further ado, in the 89th edition of Beaming with Pride (2026), we highlight “wanderlust” performed by wavvyboi.

“I hear the reaper saying follow me / He always finds me in my misery.”
Liechtensteiner 🇱🇮 singer-songwriter wavvyboi (Simon Vogt-Grande; he/she/they pronouns) is special.  Also poetic, judging by the lyrics from the first verse of their sublime glam rock banger, “wanderlust.” “He’s making me lose my way / To join his symphony,” Vogt-Grande continues, colorfully.  “Wanderlust” is the second track from his EP, some of us aren’t made for heaven. Vogt-Grande, Cameron Louis Warren, and Sam Harper composed the spirited, theatrical bop 🤘.

Nerding out, there is a superb descending chromatic harmonic progression during the verses. Bombastic sounds, namely the juicy guitars, scream glam rock 🤘. Even with the more traditional glam rock stylings, great programming ‘ups the ante.’ What ‘ups the ante’ the most is wavvyboi, who S-O-A-R-S! Their vocals are fantastic from start to finish. The lyrics, as excerpted earlier, are awesome too.  “Wo bist du, wo bist du [English: Where are you, where are you] / Where are you now,” they sing in the second verse, and conclude, “Mein Engel, mein Engel [English: My angel, my angel] / I won’t let you down.” The chorus is the crème de la crème!  Wavvyboi gives it all they’ve got during this section:

“Light of my life, can you show me a sign?

My angel on the moon

It’s me, your wanderlust

Tears bleed me dry

But I swear I’ll survive

I’ll carry on for you

I’m your wanderlust.”

During the outro, wavvyboi performs in German.  Specifically, the lyrics are the first three lines of the chorus. Ultimately, “wanderlust” is the sugar, honey, and iced tea.  Wavvyboi does his big one. This song is high-flying in all facets!
