Well, SCANNING THE CHARTS is just what it says it is.Β  I, the quirky founder and do-it-all at The Musical Hype scans through the Billboard Charts and picks out things that catch my eye. This column isn’t extensive, but rather short and sweet.Β  This week, I picked out EIGHT notable observations from the Billboard 200 πŸ“‰, Β and FOUR observations from the Billboard Hot 100 πŸ“‰, with πŸŽ™ Tyler, The Creator and πŸŽ™ Doja Cat topping the Billboard 200 at nos. 1 and 2 respectively with their impressive efforts πŸ’Ώ Β CALL ME IF YOU GET LOST and πŸ’Ώ Β Planet Her.

πŸ’ πŸŽ™ Doja Cat was always a contender to top the Billboard 200 as well.Β  πŸ’Ώ Β Planet Her Β performs well, debuting in the runner up spot – a career high.

πŸ’Β  Latin standout πŸŽ™Β  Rauw Alejandro earns the final debut in the top 20 of the Billboard 200.Β  πŸ’ΏΒ  Vice Versa launches at no. 17.

πŸ’Β  πŸ†Β  Academy award and Grammy-winning R&B artist πŸŽ™Β  H.E.R. sees her debut album, πŸ’Ώ Β Back of My Mind, slide from no. 6 to no 18 in its second charting week.Β Β

Billboard Hot 100 πŸ“‰Β

BTS, "Butter" [πŸ“· : BIGHIT / HYBE]πŸ’Β  πŸŽ™Β  BTS spends a sixth consecutive week on top of the Billboard Hot 100 with 🎡 β€œButter”.

πŸ’ πŸŽ™Β  Ed Sheeran launches at no. 5 with 🎡  β€œBad Habits”.Β  That’s a strong start, but I’m a bit surprised it didn’t perform even stronger to be honest.

πŸ’ πŸŽ™ Doja Cat already had a top-five hit with 🎡 Β β€œKiss Me More” featuring πŸŽ™ SZA.Β  She adds a no. 11 hit with β€œYou Right,” her πŸ’Ώ Β Planet Her duet with πŸŽ™ The Weeknd.Β  Doja has other chart debuts as well.

πŸ’ With the no. 1 album on his hands, it’s not surprising to see πŸŽ™ Tyler, The Creator to chart highly on the Hot 100 as well. 🎡 β€œWUSYANAME”, featuring πŸŽ™ YoungBoy Never Broke Again and πŸŽ™ Ty Dolla $ign, bows at no. 14. Β Tyler has other chart debuts as well.
