“Grapevine says I’m gonna leave you lonely / I say that they don’t even know me.”
So, they’re speculating about you, Tucker Wetmore! But you’re here to set the record straight “In a two-faced town” on “Who Told You That”. “Who Told You That” was written by Jordan Schmidt, Ashley Gorley, Michael Tyler, and Hunter Phelps. Wetmore and Chris LaCorte produced it.

“Who Told You That” begins with an attention-getting drum riff. Great guitar riffs follow, accompanied by bass and drums. The star of the show is Tucker Wetmore, who delivers a great vocal performance.  I love the tone of his voice. While this is clearly country music, there is a hint of pop, and it works well here.  In the first verse, the rumors swirl: “I’m a mess, won’t commit / Heard they said that I just wanna get in your sheets.” In the brief second verse, he turns his purported wildness into a positive: “Say I’m wild, yeah, okay / A good time ain’t a crime / And I’m wild about you, babe.” Word! The centerpiece should come as no surprise – the rhythmic, melodious chorus!

“…I don’t know who told you that

I’m that guy who’s gonna end it with a bad goodbye

They love to lie

Cause baby, I’ll make you mine

Put single me in the past

They say you’re wasting your time

I don’t know who told you that.”

The bridge distinguishes itself from the verses and chorus, though not totally dissimilar. “Girl, don’t pay no attention, ‘cause you got all of mine,” he sings, and concludes, “And I got forever if you’ve got the time.” Ooh-wee! All told, “Who Told You That” is an enjoyable, fun, and well-rounded country music single by Tucker Wetmore.
