Bring on the bold, fierce songs! Bangerz N Bopz serves up background info and insights into songs across various styles, especially those that raise eyebrows and/or stir the pot.  Featured records can be classic or brand new. In the 68th edition of Bangerz N Bopz (2026), we break down “Bring It Back” performed by Travis Porter.

“Runnin’ in that pussy like a crash dummy / Bend it over, touch ya toes / Shake that ass for me (Shake) / Bounce that ass on the flow, bring it back up (Back up) / Hit a split on the dick, shawty act up (Act up).”  👀 Oh, snap, Strap! Travis Porter (Al, Quez, and Strap) had a run back in the 2010s. The southern hip-hop trio from ATL scored a gold-certified album in 2012: From Day 1. Despite never reaching the top 40, Travis Porter impressively scored gold and platinum singles. “Bring It Back” performed modestly, reaching number 75 on the Billboard Hot 100.  Despite this, the Recording Industry Association of America certified it double platinum in 2024. It took a while, but the first time you hear “Bring It Back,” there is no question that it slaps – it’s a certified banger.

If that weren’t enough, he extends on it during the chorus, encouraging her to “Act a fool, act a fool,” and also, “Bring it back, bring it back.” Woo! Strap continues to dominate “Bring It Back” early on, rapping the first verse. He talks a lot of shit.  According to Strap, “She can shake her ass, one cheek / Two cheeks, both cheeks,” “I got a white girl freak, she got no cheeks,” “Got a good mouth like she got no teeth (Fuck),” and “Started playin’ with her pussy, tell the bitch, ‘Split it’ (Throw it back).” Nasty asf! Quez takes the reins in the second verse, following another pre-chorus and chorus by Strap.  How does he begin? “Back that ass up like a dump truck.” Fitting.  Other highlights include “Got a real big booty and some real big titties.” Quez also: “Threw some ones just to let shawty know,” of course 😈. Ali couldn’t be left out of this horniness.  “Bring that ass back like you left some (Uhh) / Shawty so hot she can melt some (Melt),” he begins his ‘dignified’ verse.  Perhaps his most entertaining line: “At breakfast time, she gave me supper head.” OMG! “Bring It Back” is incredibly shallow – an understatement.  But this well-produced, southern rap joint is incredibly irresistible, even more than a decade after its release.
