Are you ready to beam with P-R-I-D-E? Beaming with Pride highlights songs by LGBTQ musicians and allies, offering background, analysis, and discussion of the decadent bops served up. All music genres are welcome. Songs, old and new, are welcome as well. So, without further ado, in the 92nd edition of Beaming with Pride (2026), we highlight “THEO” performed by Ramón.

“Du kan’ke love no’ for å sku’ holde meg varm / (Du vet jeg er lei av prat, så).” Norwegian 🇳🇴 pop singer-songwriter Ramón (Ramón Torres Andresen) said… something 😅. Translated into English: “You can’t just make promises to keep me warm (You know I’m tired of all the talk, so).” Oh, snap! The lyrics hail from the first verse of “THEO.” Yep, a boy is involved, and so are those pesky, universal matters of the heart! “THEO” is the second track from Ramón’s 2026 album, RAMUELO. Ramón, Jens Idsø Andersen, Svenning Veiseth, and Hanna Skjerdal composed it. Ramón, Andersen, and Veiseth produced it.

Ramón, the star of the show, delivers smooth vocals. His performance is easygoing; it never sounds like he breaks a sweat.  I adore the light, rhythmic melodic lines during the verses.  The second verse is filled with personality:

🇳🇴

“Ugh, fakk, greit, gå, du, meg, done, så

Jeg får vel dra hjem I guess

Ikke tenk på meg, for du vet jo best, men…”

🇺🇸

“Ugh, fuck, fine, go, you, me, done, so

I guess I’ll head home, then

Don’t worry about me—since you know best, after all—but…”

Beyond the verses, the refreng (refrain or chorus), the first section heard, is memorable, tuneful, and all that.

🇳🇴

“Theo, er du der?
Jeg har ringt, men kommer rett til svarer’n
Theo, er det så vanskelig?
Bare ta mine klær
Du har rett, jeg kan bli dramatisk
Theo, du er så vanskelig”

🇺🇸

“Theo, are you there?

I’ve called, but it goes straight to voicemail

Theo, is it really that difficult?

Just take my [your?] clothes

You’re right, I can get dramatic

Theo, you’re so difficult”

Short but utterly sweet, “THEO” is a surefire winner from Ramón. The love is questionable, judging by the lyrics. But what isn’t questionable are great vocals, light, rhythmic melodies, and ear-catching production.  Bop, bop, bop!
