Steamy Saturday features songs where the temperature is hot, and weโ€™re not talking about Celsius or Fahrenheit.ย  Songs appearing on this day are seductive; sensual; sexy. This week, May 16, 2020, like May 2, 2020 and May 9, 2020, we keep it R&B, but move beyond โ€˜coffeeโ€™ and opt for โ€œF&MUโ€, courtesy of Kehlani and her 2020 sophomore album, It Was Good Until It Wasnโ€™t.

โ€œWe both know itโ€™s never really goodbye / I swear itโ€™s like we do this all the time, yeah / That shit be turninโ€™ me on, I cannot lie, lieโ€ฆโ€ โ€œF&MU,โ€ is characterized by its brevity. Even so, thatโ€™s ample time for Kehlani to be potent about love, SEX, and relationships.ย  As the aforementioned lyrics suggests, the relationship has its fair share of issues, but ultimately, makeup sex atones.ย  If you didnโ€™t figure out what the meaning of the title, well, itโ€™s clear AF on the chorus:

โ€œWe fuck and make up like itโ€™s Maybelline
We do petty things
Then mess up the sheets, yeah
You be runninโ€™ back once we let it go
I already know
Did it time before (Oh).โ€

Sure, itโ€™s an oversimplification to suggest that good sex fixes things, but, in the case of โ€œF&MU,โ€ itโ€™s quite entertaining to hear Kehlani make the assertion.ย  The second verse has its fair share of colorful lyrics, whether itโ€™s the opening โ€œDamn, itโ€™s good, I might have to piss you off,โ€ or โ€œWhy I gotta fuck you up to make you fuck like that.โ€ Wow! โ€œF&MUโ€ is definitely indicative of what a Steamy Saturday is all about.
