Kanye West, GEMINI SEASON | Song Review

Polarizing AF, Kanye West drops the BULLY Deluxe single “GEMINI SEASON,” which finds the Grammy-winning rapper horny – he’s freaked out.

Damn, Kanye West… or Ye… whatever the Grammy-winning rapper is going by these days.  “GEMINI SEASON” is, um, something else.  It was performed, written, and produced by West.  In the past, that would be great.  These days… Eh… Ye is on some different shit, and I wouldn’t necessarily characterize it as FINE SHYT. But, to each his own, and here, via “GEMINI SEASON,”  Mr. West is all about some Bianca Censori. That is polarizing in itself…

Musically, “GEMINI SEASON” is pleasant.  The production sounds old-school, with major-key, optimistic vibes.  The happiness soundtrack parallels Kanye West’s horniness, evidenced by the chorus, the primary section.  Sex is a great thing, and there’s nothing wrong with West being excited about it, though did we need to know? Anyway, Ye is melodic throughout, thinking with the D… In the post-chorus, the other section of the song, ‘hoes’ are referenced, as well as lyrics like “Come and pose with no clothes,” and “Nipples froze, are you cold?” While the air conditioning could stiffen those nipples, that is not what West is getting at here.  They are hard for other reasons… Bianca Censori directs and appears in the music video for the BULLY Deluxe track. In the video, she milks a cow in a revealing outfit (shocker), hands a glass bottle of milk to West, who then pours it into her mouth, with the excess milk spilling onto her breasts and thighs.  Milk, huh? On “GEMINI SEASON”, Mr. West is more like Mr. Freak.  Again, did we need to hear this? NOPE. 49^th birthday celebration or not! Some may dig the vibe of this interlude-like track, but personally, it’s nearly two minutes I’d like to have back.  Oh, and there is a cow on the single cover art… MOO!
