Are you ready to beam with P-R-I-D-E? Beaming with Pride highlights songs by LGBTQ musicians and allies, offering background, analysis, and discussion of the decadent bops served up. All music genres are welcome. Songs, old and new, are welcome as well. So, without further ado, in the 86th edition of Beaming with Pride (2026), we highlight “STRIPPED” performed by GRANT KNOCHE.

“‘I love the way you pose in the light’ /… ‘Oh my God, if I had you tonight / I would die’.”
Ooh-la-la 🤩 😍 🥵! GRANT KNOCHE isn’t a snack – he’s the whole damn meal, Lizzo!  When you look like the bisexual Gen-Z pop singer-songwriter, objectification is in the cards 👀.  GRANT KNOCHE, STRIPPED music videoWriting about him, I’ll be the first to admit I’m guilty… he’s nice to 👀 at. Imagine the buzz when “STRIPPED,” the 10th track from his 2025 album, GOOD LUCK GETTING OVER ME, got a steamy music video. The gays went wild! Again, the 24-year-old catches the eye, but also has a meaningful message beyond that chiseled physique. KNOCHE composed “STRIPPED” with Jules Paymer and Ryan Nealon.  He produced it himself.

The production is colorful, modern, and sleek.  Melodically, it’s tuneful. GRANT KNOCHE delivers a well-rounded vocal performance firmly planted in modern pop.  The boy cooks. In the music video, he sheds his clothes.  Those CK briefs = fire. But it’s the theme and lyrics that earn my undivided attention.  “I’m more than a silhouette / I’m more than a face and a fake on the internet,” he proclaims in the first two lines of the first verse.  The second verse raised the most eyebrows:

“Sixteen and he’s forty-one

Saying, ‘I’ll change your life if you give me a couple months’

Too young to be getting drunk

But I could for the price of a bitter taste on my tongue.”

GRANT KNOCHE, STRIPPED music video👀 👀 👀 No, the centerpiece is not his chest, abs, or or what he holds in his hands when he strips those briefs, , but rather the chorus.  GRANT addresses the shallowness. There’s more beyond the bod!

“When I’m showing you my heart, all you see is my chest

Say you care what’s underneath ‘cause you want me undressed

I could talk all that I want, all you see are my lips

Yeah, you say you love me, but you only love me

When I’m stripped.”

We’ve all objectified men, particularly himbos 🫣🫢🤭. It’s important to remember, however, that the person we fantasize about has legitimate thoughts, feelings, and more than what we see lusting physically. “STRIPPED” is great eye candy; GRANT is 🥵. More impressive is the message. Don’t lose the plot!
