Dolly Babe brings plenty of attitude, energy, and profanity on her brief, unapologetic rap banger, “Hittin.”
“I don’t beef with bitches, get ‘em / Gone like Ted Bundy (done).” Not Ted Bundy! Texas rapper Dolly Babe (Latiffini Brannon) said what she said on her unapologetic rap single, “Hittin.” The number of F-U-C-Ks given? As always, ZERO! Dolly Babe composed “Hittin” with producer Mautz Beats.
“Hittin” fittingly sounds malicious. The minor key creates a dark soundtrack. Dolly Babe wastes no time with a bitch-filled intro. Yes, you read correctly. She brings plenty of attitude with a compelling cadence and flow. There is no shortage of unapologetic, NSFW one-liners. “You should go outside and shake your booty (Shake it) / Go to the strip club, throw some onеs on that coochie,” she asserts in the first verse, and continues, “Ass out, stiletto heels, I’m a hoochie (Hoochie) / 214, hood princess, I’m a cutie.” Verse two is bold as well: “Niggas in my DM, they been messaging for years / I don’t give a fuck, my attitude so cavalier.” Ya don’t say, Dolly! The chorus is definitely… HITTIN!
“Bitch, I’m hittin’, I’m hittin’, I’m hittin’
(Fuck that nigga)
Bitch, we hittin’, we hittin’, we
Hittin’ (fuck that nigga).”
There’s also a bridge sandwiched between the two final choruses (“Rock your hips, rock, rock, rock / (214, hood princess).” Does Dolly Babe say anything groundbreaking or otherworldly on “Hittin”? No, but it is a brief, fun banger. Her attitude and foul mouth go a long way.
