DESTIN CONRAD, I LOVE YOUR BODY | Song Review

On the brief but utterly infectious “I LOVE YOUR BODY,” DESTIN CONRAD continues to impress us with his incredible musical versatility.

DESTIN CONRAD!  “What a man, what a man, what a man / What a mighty FINE and TALENTED man! He follows up one sickening bop, “NERVOUS”, with another one in “I LOVE YOUR BODY”.  Sure, DESTIN is talking about a hottie’s body, but this man knows his bod is so tea, too! Anyway, focusing on the music, once again CONRAD dips into his Jamaican roots, giving us some fresh reggae. “I LOVE YOUR BODY” was written by CONRAD, Simon Said., and producer Louie Lastic.

“I LOVE YOUR BODY” slaps from the beginning. The production is colorful and sleek, capturing contemporary reggae sublimely. Groovy and rhythmic to the nth degree, it’s hard not to move your body to this one.  DESTIN CONRAD is sickening, delivering expressive, playful, and sensual vocals.  The keyword is sensual. “Want you from when you walk in,” he sings in the first verse, and concludes, “You know you a problem.” In the second, DESTIN suggests, “Let’s cut the tension / Love and affection /… Their love is whatever, my love is forever.” Oh, snap! In the pre-chorus, unsurprisingly, he notes, “And there’s something ‘bout your waist / I wanna get closer to your frame.” And the chorus, the centerpiece, is all about body love! “I love your body / Don’t want nobody.” Woo! No extensive analysis or commentary is necessary about this one. On “I LOVE YOUR BODY”, DESTIN CONRAD continues to impress us with his incredible musical versatility. Face it, that man could sing the phonebook and wow us!
