David Archuleta, Warm Me Up → Song Review

David Archuleta ‘warms up’ the holiday season with “Warm Me Up,” the memorable opener from his 2026 holiday album of the same name.

“It’s ten degrees and all I need / Is you by my side.” David Archuleta, I wholeheartedly agree, you swoon-worthy man. Ooh-wee, what a handsome fella! More important than those looks, or that banging bod, is his talent.  Archuleta could always sing, and he’s in his singing bag again on “Warm Me Up.” “Warm Me Up” commences his 2026 holiday album of the same name. Archuleta composed it with Dave Villa, Annelisa Franklin, and Savannah Sgro. Villa also produced it and plays multiple instruments.

“Warm Me Up” shines from the get-go.  The sweet pop groove cooks. Villa’s production is strong, filled with colorful sounds and musical cues.  The star is David. He excels with his signature, silky, smooth vocals. The vocal production is strong, too.  Archie delivers memorable lyrics and tuneful melodies during the verses. “Yeah, we’re under the Christmas lights / And I don’t wanna say goodnight,” he sings, lovingly, in the second verse, and concludes, “No, I don’t / Just want you close, oh woah.” Oh, woah, indeed! The chorus is the crème de la crème:

“Warm me up, hold me tight

We’re not close enough

This starry night

Under the moonlight

We’ll set the mood right

You’re lookin’ too fine

Warm me up.”

Mike Robinson serves up sickening electric guitar after the second chorus.  The bridge, which repurposes the back half of the first verse, follows and goes percussion-less. The chorus concludes in its heartwarming glory. “Warm Me Up” is cute all the way around.  Cute man, cute vocals, cute lyrics, cute production – CUTE, CUTE, CUTE!
