“Yeah, did like a week in Paris / Stayed like a week in Paris / Yeah, chilled like a week in Paris / Baby, what we gon’ eat in Paris?” Paris is a big deal for Grammy-winning rapper 2 Chainz (Tauheed Epps), at least in the context of his single, “A Week in Paris.” “A Week in Paris” is the seventh track from his 2026 album, Playaz Only Live Once (arriving December 4). 2 Chainz wrote it with producers Statik Selektah (Patrick Baril) and Moo Latte (Brian Massaka).

“A Week in Paris” features laid-back production. The sound is respectable. But the production sounds ‘less expensive’ than the production while he was a major label artist (no disrespect).  2 Chainz doesn’t get ‘too high’ while rapping.  His rhymes are easygoing.  Honestly, sometimes, I wish he’d ‘go harder’ and be less nonchalant.  Still, he drops memorable one-liners showcasing plenty of personality. “I ain’t never been a bitch, my mom ain’t have no daughters,” he asserts in the first verse, and adds, “My ego like the size of Arc de Triomphe.” Word.  In the second verse, he mentions “Suicide doors, who decides wars? / This is my life, shawty, you decide yours.” Woo! And how about some drugs? “My partner have more bricks than Shaq did at the free throw (Yo).” The chorus, excerpted earlier, is… chill.  All told, “A Week in Paris” is respectable. Yep, that’s about the size of it.  Chainz is still 2 Chainz.  But this decent single doesn’t move the needle at this point.
