Victoria Moralez, Colored Transmission Waves | Track Review

ictoria Moralez is fresh off the back of her pop release ‘Colored Transmission Waves‘. Moreover, we hear the single take on a new angle of pop here with this excellent release, and she stays well away from the status quo, providing plenty of individual flavours.

Victoria’s vocal has a distinct quality that we don’t typically hear from performers in the same genre. So much so that it’s challenging to make a direct comparison. Nonetheless, the greats influence Victoria’s lyricism while still including many of her unique characteristics.

‘Colored Transmission Waves‘ begins with a soothing vocal and a melancholy beat tap that snaps with irresistible staccato. Victoria sings with enormous poignancy from the start, and her delivery is awe-inspiring, with confidence flowing. She leads us along a remarkable path, full of twists and turns that keep us focused on the road ahead.

Furthermore, the structure is sophisticated, and it’s fascinating to see how it evolves. It prevents the record from becoming stuck in a loop. It also demonstrates the singer’s versatility as a musician. She also changes up her vocal technique well, entering further into a dreamy place towards the end of the song, complementing a unique percussion fill that adds a new flavour and dimension to the already robust sound.

The conclusion is enthralling, and a soundscape emerges that we had not anticipated at the outset.
