Tyler, the Creator, Peach Fuzz [Photo Credit: Columbia]Although “Peach Fuzz” is short in length in a number of ways, Tyler, the Creator continues to serve up some worthwhile bars.

Tyler, the Creator has managed to keep busy throughout 2018.  Despite the fact that as of publication time, no new album has arrived, he’s remained prolific in the release department.  His latest offering takes you back to puberty – “Peach Fuzz.” Tyler may keep things short, just north of two-and-a-half minutes, but, he definitely has some things to say.

“Peach Fuzz” begins with an intro, before Tyler, the Creator drops the chorus. On the chorus, he compares a romantic fling/relationship to the short length of peach fuzz.  Definitely clever:

“You said keep it short, this is peach fuzz

Contact, couple months, then we out

… It’s nothing serious (I wanna be your man).”

Tyler follows the chorus with one verse, featuring several memorable lyrics.  “By the time we tie the knot up, Tyler, Tyler, he got caught up / Now they taking my ricotta, bunch of lawyers and ‘your honors’.” He also can’t resist indulging in sex, specifically oral sex:

“Could you tell me how far in the future do you see us? / You can make decisions while your lips graze on my peach fuzz.”

Honestly, didn’t you see it ‘coming’? Additionally, he makes a couple of shout outs to Stones Throw and Prophet. “Peach Fuzz” is a remix of Prophet’s “Wanna Be Your Man” after all.

Final Thoughts

All in all, Tyler, the Creator sounds good with soulful R&B production backing him.  Perhaps “Peach Fuzz” won’t change lives, it’s a solid addition to the rapper’s continually maturing discography.
