Well, SCANNING THE CHARTS is just what it says it is.ย I, the quirky founder and do-it-all at The Musical Hype scans through the Billboard Charts and picks out things that catch my eye. This column isnโt extensive, but rather short and sweet.ย This week, I picked out EIGHT notable observations from the Billboard 200 ๐, ย and FOUR observations from the Billboard Hot 100 ๐, with ๐ Tyler, The Creator and ๐ Doja Cat topping the Billboard 200 at nos. 1 and 2 respectively with their impressive efforts ๐ฟ ย CALL ME IF YOU GET LOST and ๐ฟ ย Planet Her.

๐ญย Latin standout ๐ย Rauw Alejandro earns the final debut in the top 20 of the Billboard 200.ย ๐ฟย Vice Versa launches at no. 17.
๐ญย ๐ย Academy award and Grammy-winning R&B artist ๐ย H.E.R. sees her debut album, ๐ฟ ย Back of My Mind, slide from no. 6 to no 18 in its second charting week.ย ย
๐ญ Earning a top-40 berth, ๐ย Beartooth debuts at no. 30 with ๐ฟย Below, while ๐ Ski Mask The Slump God bows at no. 39 with ๐ฟย Sin City: The Mixtape.
๐ญ ๐ย Grammy-nominated rapper ๐ย Logic reappears on the charts thanks to the debut of ๐ฟย YS Collection, Vol. 1 at no. 56.
๐ญ A couple of formerly successful musicians see unimpressive debuts.ย Country artist ๐ย Gary Allan launches at no. 86 with ๐ฟย Ruthless while alternative darlings ๐ย Modest Mouse start at no. 87 with ๐ฟย The Golden Casket.
๐ญ Three more debuts worth noting: ๐ย Hiatus Kaiyote arrives at no. 103 (๐ฟย Mood Valiant), ๐ย Lucy Dacus at no. 104 (๐ฟย Home Video), and ๐ย Surfaces โ the ๐ต โSunday Bestโ dudes โ at no. 141 (๐ฟย Pacifico)

๐ญย ๐ย BTS spends a sixth consecutive week on top of the Billboard Hot 100 with ๐ต โButterโ.
๐ญ ๐ย Ed Sheeran launches at no. 5 with ๐ตย โBad Habitsโ.ย Thatโs a strong start, but Iโm a bit surprised it didnโt perform even stronger to be honest.
๐ญ ๐ Doja Cat already had a top-five hit with ๐ต ย โKiss Me Moreโ featuring ๐ SZA.ย She adds a no. 11 hit with โYou Right,โ her ๐ฟ ย Planet Her duet with ๐ The Weeknd.ย Doja has other chart debuts as well.
