irmingham based, Thomas Atlas is buzzing with joyous funk, and his latest release ‘Got This Feeling‘ astounds with enjoyment. It is potentially the most compelling and satisfying release yet from Thomas, and the bar for blues and funk is now indeed raised.

Thomas will transport you to another realm here with his upbeat take on modern music. His vocal quality is also testimony to his intrinsic character, but his tone is unorthodox for a man of his age. He has a mature manner that many will compare to some of the greats in this space, yet he pulls it off vigorously.

The rhythm extracts a ‘tap your feet’ groove, and the music reinvents the funk wheel with a soundscape which is irresistible. It invigorates the senses, and it distracts the listener from the madness of modern society.

Furthermore, plenty of eclectic sounds leap out of the mix as it progresses, and the structure regularly changes, leaving the excitement propped up high. The guitar is slick, and it glows with multi-colour. Likewise, the bass brings a new cadence which shines through the speakers with delight. But, it would not be the masterpiece it would be without Thomas‘ infectious vocal performance. He glides high with his vocal quality leaving an indent like no other.

Got This Feeling‘ is a wholly unique venture for Thomas Atlas. It is the work of a man who means business, and he showcases his natural talent. It also reminds everybody to enjoy themselves as much as possible, even when it may be hard, like in lockdown. So much so, it is about time a track like this one came along to reignite the zest.
