These After Dark tunes focus on the universal three-letter word:  SEX. The dark records gracing After Dark are old and new alike, with all genres of music welcome.  In the 66th edition of After Dark (2022), we explore the naughty, risqué, & sexual vibes behind, 🎵 “The Wolf” by 🎙 The Spencer Lee Band

Theme & Lyrics

“I wanna jack it, smack it / You know the shit that turns you on? / I wanna lick it, kiss it / I’ll give you everything you want.” WOW! That’s definitely a lot, 🎙 The Spencer Lee Band.  Regardless of the freakiness exemplified, The Spencer Lee band shines on 🎵 “The Wolf”.  The sexual nature of the record is fitting given the fact it hails from 💿 Fifty Shades Freed (Original Motion Picture Soundtrack), which was released in 2018.

“The Wolf” commences with a refreshing pop-soul groove. After setting the tone instrumentally, vocalist 🎙 Spencer Lee enters in with biting, commanding lead vocals. The vibe is sexual early on (“Just like the rain outside / Your body sweating, dripping wet”), with the innuendo ‘turned up to next level’ on the excerpted pre-chorus. Lee follows the risqué pre-chorus with a catchy, continually soulful, chorus.

“Howling out your name

Red like champagne

You’re gonna feel the vibes

When the wolf comes out tonight.”

Still, in the second verse, The Spencer Lee Band continues to amplify the horniness.

“I watch you burn this place to ashes

Move that ass

And raise a glass to how you love to misbehave, baby.”

Final Thoughts 💭

Bitmoji ImageIt’s safe to say that The Spencer Lee Band keep it sexual throughout the course of 🎵 “The Wolf”.  Would we have it any other way, especially considering it’s After Dark 🕛 🌃? Why, of course, we wouldn’t!
