The Rolling Stones, Angry [๐Ÿ“ท: Promotone B.V.]The Rolling Stones deliver and enjoyable, well-rounded rock joint with โ€œAngry,โ€ the lead single from their 26th studio album, Hackney Diamonds.

โ€œDonโ€™t get angry with me / I never caused you no pain,โ€ ๐ŸŽ™ Mick Jagger sings, energetically, and expressively on ๐ŸŽต โ€œAngryโ€, the lead single off ๐ŸŽ™ The Rolling Stonesโ€™ highly anticipated, 26th studio album, ๐Ÿ’ฟ Hackney Diamonds (October 20, 2023).  The 80-year old front man continues singing in the opening verse, โ€œI wonโ€™t be angry with you / But I canโ€™t see straight.โ€ Perhaps those lyrics arenโ€™t the second coming, but Jagger brings the heat as he sings them.  Just hearing The Rolling Stones back, well past their prime, is a treat.

The Rolling Stones, Hackney Diamonds [๐Ÿ“ท: Promotone B.V.]Beyond the verses, which possess tuneful melodies, the chorus is sweet too:

โ€œPlease just forget about me

Cancel out my name

Please never write to me

I love you just the same

I hear a melody ringing in my brain

Just keep the memories

Donโ€™t have to be ashamed.โ€

Bitmoji ImageBeyond fabulous vocals and respectable songwriting, there are plenty more selling points regarding โ€œAngry,โ€ which wonโ€™t make Stones fans angry in the least.  The sound is vintage โ€“ old-school, blues rock. The drum groove (๐Ÿฅ Steve Jordan) is strong, though of course, ๐ŸŽ™ Charlie Watts is greatly missed ๐Ÿฅฒ. The rhythmic guitar riffs shine (Jagger, ๐ŸŽธ Keith Richards, and Ron Wood all play guitars.  Later, the piano (๐ŸŽน  Matt Clifford) further amplifies the bluesy vibes, with a fabulous guitar ๐ŸŽธ solo being the icing on the cake. By the end, the intensity is through the roof, with the musicians and Mick giving their all.  All told, Jagger, Richards, and ๐ŸŽผ โœ ๐ŸŽ› watt (who also produces) deliver an enjoyable, well-rounded rock joint with ๐ŸŽต โ€œAngryโ€.

The Rolling Stones are legendary but this video is terrible with the chick in leathers sticking out her tongue and cheesecake dancing.
