[otw_shortcode_dropcap label=”‘C” size=”large” border_color_class=”otw-no-border-color” shadow=”shadow” square=”square”]ome Over’ is the latest gift from up and coming rapper The Hassan Assassin. The rapper has taken a giant leap with this new track, and it is refreshing to see him turn over a new chapter for this ever-growing genre, and it is delightful to hear him take the lead in the underground scene.
The track kicks off with a bubbling intro which comes sounding as though it is underwater as well as a vocal lead line similar to old school ‘Kanye West’. The beat then hits more laborious, and before we know it, we are in with all guns blazing. The party vibe is flowing all over this track, and it is a typical house party record which you would expect to hear at a college dorm rave.
Hassan takes influence from the greats here on ‘Come Over’. However, it is a unique track which sticks true to himself, and he proves he is not a mirror of anyone else who has come before him. Also, he demonstrates that having a unique selling point is the key to making a wave. So much so, it is a track which sticks out for all the right reasons. It is different from what else we hear in the hip hop chart. Also, it takes us down memory lane, and it reminds me of hip hop from the early 2010s. Mind you; it is not just the nostalgic vibes which are flying all over the track; it has prevalent qualities too, with many of us being able to resonate well with his witty lyricism.
So wait no longer, this is a track which grips, and it is easy to find yourself coming back to it time after time. You can take a listen to ‘Come Over‘ by The Hassan Assassin below. Also, be sure to follow the rapper on his official social media accounts here.
