Tawnted, do the same for me [πŸ“·: Tawnted]Tawnted (Jonathan Armswood) continues to be prolific, releasing another fabulous single in the heartbroken, β€œdo the same for me.”

β€œCry when you left in a puff of smoke / Pain in the left of my chest you know…” πŸŽ™ Tawnted (Jonathan Armswood) has been quite prolific in 2023 releasing multiple singles πŸ’ͺ. Β At the age of 20, Armswood made big changes in his life: left his religion, came out 🌈, and became a musician 🀘. So far, the tunes that Armswood are releasing are on-point, with the brief 🎡 β€œdo the same for me” following suit.

Tawnted, do the same for me [πŸ“·: Tawnted]Two-and-a-quarter minutes is not very long, but it’s ample time for Tawnted to be potent.Β  It commences with sick, rhythmic synths that appear consistently throughout the track. In addition to the synths, I heart the rhythmic nature of the melodic lines.Β  While this is pop music, there is a bridge to hip-hop with the way Armswood performs particular lines. Vocally, he has a nice instrument to work with, one that appeals to the ears. One of the biggest selling points, of course, is the honest songwriting.Β  β€œDo the same for me” is all about matters of the heart, specifically, heartbreak. Β Armswood asserts, β€œBreak my arms but spare my legs / Take my heart cuz it wears your name / I fall apart, did you do the same? / Did you do the same for me?” There is some pointed lyricism – bombs are dropped (β€œI close my eyes and I f🀬ck your ghost” and β€œIf I had a clone, we would probably f🀬ck”)! Β All told, Tawnted brings the heat on 🎡 β€œdo the same for me”.Β  You hate to hear the talented singer/songwriter be hurt, but, at the same time, his pain is our listening pleasure. Schadenfreude?Β
