Denzel Curry, ZUU | Album Review 💿

Despite its brief runtime, ‘ZUU’ gives Carol City, Florida rapper Denzel Curry a strong, well-rounded album with no shortage of hard-hitting bangers.

DJ Snake assembles a star-studded cast of rappers (Sheck Wes, Offset, 21 Savage and Gucci Mane) for a good old-fashioned trap banger, “Enzo.”

“13 Songs That Focus on the Face” features music courtesy of Cécile McLorin Salvant, Die Antwoord, Future, Lady Gaga, and The Weeknd among others.

Following a two-year hiatus between proper ‘solo’ albums, Future returns with the enjoyable, well-rounded ‘Future Hndrxx Presents: The WIZRD.’

Future continues to execute a familiar game-plan on his single, “Crushed Up.” It’s good (enough), but nothing groundbreaking.

Migos return with a solid, luxurious, flex track with “Motor Sport.” They enlist two female rappers for the assist – Nicki Minaj and Cardi B.

On single “That’s It,” Bebe Rexha nails the urban-pop sound without breaking new ground. She enlists Gucci Mane and 2 Chainz.

DJ/Production trio Cash Cash’s latest LP, Blood, Sweat & 3 Years, possesses energetic and enjoyable moments as well as some less memorable moments.

On debut album ‘Aa,’ Baauer seeks to establish himself beyond “Harlem Shake.” Does he accomplish the task? Not quite, not quite.
