Saweetie, "Icy Chain" [📷: ICY / Warner]Rapper Saweetie is cocky, confident, and unapologetic on her short but potent banger, “Icy Chain.”

“T

werk that ass for a icy chain!”  Woo! 🎙 Saweetie keeps things short – like under two minutes – on single, 🎵 “Icy Chain.”  Despite the brevity, the rapper is potent and expectedly, unapologetic.  The excerpted chorus is catchy AF as well as being NOT FAMILY FRIENDLY.  Would we have it any other way, though? No, we wouldn’t!

Who stitches up the track for Saweetie? That would be a production team comprised of 🎛 Dr. Luke, 🎛 Rocco Did It Again!, and 🎛 lil aaron. “Icy Chain” is set in a minor key, and sounds ‘sketchy’ from the onset.  This, of course, is perfect fuel for the fire. Over the backdrop, we get consistently agile, confident, cocky rhymes.  “Bitches see me and get humble,” she asserts on the first verse, continuing, “Could take your nigga but I don’t even want to.” Oh snap! On the second verse, she states:

“He sweatin’ me like a sport
I play in Prada whenever I’m bored (That’s right)
Concealer, tan, sand, I’ma get these band-bands
Bet’ not smell no pussy when you pop it on a handstand.”

Wow… that’s about the size of it when it comes to “Icy Chain.”

Final Thoughts 💭

Bitmoji ImageSo, how does “Icy Chain” stack up? For under two minutes, Saweetie makes it clear she’s that chick.  This is no new scenario – every female rapper embraces this script – but she successfully delivers.  Game changing it’s not but if you need a quick banger to get you going, “Icy Chain” does the track.
