“And I used to go fishing when I was a little girl / You gotta be real quiet on the creek.”
That’s quite an intro, Saucy Santana! It perfectly sets up his colorful single, “Quiet on the Creek”.  The chorus, the crowning achievement, appears right after the intro, with its quiet vocals but gargantuan energy!

“Shh, quiet on the creek

Quiet on the creek (You gotta be quiet)

Shh, shh, quiet on the creek

Real quiet on the creek…”

“Quiet on the Creek” was written by Saucy Santana and producer The Trax.

Against the banging, minimalist backdrop, including creaking sounds, Saucy Santana gives us three verses on “Quiet on the Creek.” His cadence and flow are compelling. In the first verse, he paints a picture of a fine-ass man: “Tattoos, six feet, a nice real physique (Mwah).” He concludes the verse with a bang: “He like to trick, he like to treat, I heard he was a freak (Uh-huh) / But when you run your mouth that’s when a nigga start to tweak.”  A quiet refrain precedes the second verse.  Here, “If you don’t say a peep, you get Chanel every week (Whew) / I heard he a cowboy, that nigga ain’t cheap (Haha).” Quietness is the key! The unforgettable full-blown chorus precedes the third and final verse.  The third verse is the lengthiest, with no shortage of eyebrow-raising moments.  “You know I got a man, why you tryna make me cheat / I hear them saxophones, it’s getting loud on the creek,” Saucy Santana spits, adding, “I want my trade, so we quiet on the creek / He got a baby mama, but his kids on my cheek (Hush).” Holy jizz! So, he’s sharing this man with his baby mama, and asserts, “I keep that nigga cummin’, I got him at his peak…” Ooh-wee! Ultimately, Saucy Santana brings it on the incredibly fun “Quiet on the Creek”.  It has attitude, energy, and one of my favorite things – messiness!
