~ Album Reviews 💿 ~

Album reviews tend to follow a track-by-track format, commencing with an intro paragraph comprised of background information, and concluding paragraph that wraps things up. Also, GEMS 💎 – the best, highly recommended tracks – are selected at the end of each review. It should not come as a surprise to see the analysis run > 1000 words.

Ledisi, High | Track Review 🎵

R&B diva Ledisi returns with “High,” her first new single since releasing album THE TRUTH (2014).  “High” is both classic and modern.

Miley Cyrus, Malibu | Track Review 🎵

Miley Cyrus eschews hip-hop (and urban culture) on her new single, “Malibu.” The most shocking thing about “Malibu” is that it’s NOT shocking.

Bryson Tiller, Somethin Tells Me | Track Review 🎵

Louisville rapper and singer Bryson Tiller returns strong on “Somethin Tells Me,” the promo single from his sophomore album, ‘True to Self.’

dvsn, Think About Me | Track Review 🎵

Canadian alternative R&B duo dvsn – Daniel Daley & Nineteen85 – return respectably with single, “Think About Me.”

The Vamps & Matoma, All Night | Track Review 🎵

British boy band The Vamps and Matoma have a hit on their hands with “All Night,” a single from The Vamps’ upcoming album, ‘Night & Day.’

Chris Brown, Privacy | Track Review 🎵

Chris Brown continues to exhibit complacency on single, “Privacy.” “Privacy” comes off as incredibly shallow, lacking any sense of progression artistically.

Lil Yachty, Bring it Back | Track Review 🎵

Lil Yachty completely misses the mark on “Bring it Back,” the third single released ahead of his debut album, ‘Teenage Emotions.’

Paramore, Told You So | Track Review 🎵

Grammy-winning collective Paramore returns with “Told You So,” the second single from their fifth studio album, After Laughter.

Niall Horan, Slow Hands | Track Review 🎵

“Slow Hands” is a step up from “This Town,” But Niall Horan could stand to take even more risks artistically.

JOEY-A, JUiCE | Track Review 🎵

Following his sexy debut single “PARiS,” Cleveland-bred musician JOEY-A returns with a second, equally sexy single, “JUiCE.”
