• She’s an underrated pop star. Lovato has a stunning musical instrument.

• She hasn’t earned a platinum-certified album as of yet.

• In the past, she’s struggled with addiction and mental health issues.

• She’s being sued by Sleigh Bells for copyright infringement.

• She made an insensitive Snapchat about the Zika Virus.

• She dissed THE Mariah Carey, saying she’s “unnecessarily rude.”

• She quit social media – particularly Twitter – after going off about people’s obsessions with celebrities. She did return to social media the next day.

• Her clothing choices (or lack thereof) are arguably too provocative.

• Once friends, Lovato has a rocky relationship with Selena Gomez.

• She’s apparently in a one-sided feud with Nicki Minaj (Minaj didn’t address the accusations).

• She had some tough criticism of Taylor Swift in regards to her actions regarding the Kesha-Dr. Luke court battle. Unsurprisingly, she supported Calvin Harris as opposed to Swift during their feud.
