Popcaan, โ€œWe Caa Doneโ€ (Ft. Drake) [๐Ÿ“ท: Brent Faulkner/The Musical Hype; OVO Sound; OpenClipart-Vectors, PIRO via Pixabay]Popcaan and Drake deliver a vibe in the single โ€œWe Caa Doneโ€ which is sure to provide summery vibes despite its winter release date.

โ€œTry fi rush me out, try fi brush me off, I see / Badman like Skull and me from Unruly, girl, why pree?โ€ Um, ๐ŸŽ™ Drake, what exactly are you singing? Well, clearly, the Jamaican patois is in full effect, requiring some translation (โ€˜why preeโ€™ means โ€˜whatโ€™s upโ€™). Drake makes one half of the personnel on ๐ŸŽต โ€œWe Caa Doneโ€ with ๐ŸŽ™ Popcaan being the other half.ย  In all honesty, this is Popcaanโ€™s song given the fact it appears on his 2023 album, ๐Ÿ’ฟ Great Is He.ย

It should come as no surprise that โ€œWe Caa Doneโ€ is a V-I-B-E.ย  The production (๐ŸŽ› TRESOR and ๐ŸŽ› Batundi) is relaxed but potent, while Drake matches the relaxed vibe with his own chill delivery. โ€œWe cyaa done, we cannot done, we cannot done,โ€ he sings on the chorus.ย  Of course, Popcaan shines on both the verses, compelling us with his melodic flow and, of course, that beloved patois in all its glory. โ€œThick gyal ah give me head inna the big Phantom / Dem know me ah do god like one a Jesus son,โ€ he asserts in the first verse, later adding, โ€œHmm, jiggle up yuh body fi mi baby / Know say you love when mi cum inna yuh belly.โ€ Well, that doesnโ€™t require much translation, if any ๐Ÿ† ๐Ÿ’ฆ ๐Ÿ˜ˆ!

Final Thoughts ๐Ÿ’ญ

big moodAll in all, ๐ŸŽต โ€œWe Caa Doneโ€ is enjoyable โ€“ definitely worth listening too. Is it life changing? Of course, not but again, itโ€™s a VIBE. Drake is the perfect collaborator for Popcaan on this one while Popcaan has no shortage of swagger, including bragging about his sex skills. Perfect way to warm up the winter with summery vibes!
