ell, SCANNING THE CHARTS is just what it says it is. I, the quirky founder and do-it-all at The Musical Hype scans through the Billboard Charts and picks out things that catch my eye. This column isnโt extensive, but rather short and sweet. This week, I picked out FIVE notable observations from the Billboard 200Billboard 200
We always knew it was going to be competitive โ or at least, I thought so. Ultimately,
Polo G earned his first no. 1 album on the Billboard 200 with
Hall of Fame. The album moved a respectable 143,000 units.
Migos settle for the runner up slot on the Billboard 200.
Culture III still moved a respectable number of units as well with 130,500 per Keith Caulfield of Billboard.
Two more albums debut in the top 10 of the Billboard 200. K-popโs
TWICE starts at no. 6 with
Taste of Love: The 10th Mini Album. Also,
Maroon 5 launch at no. 8 with
JORDI. Of course, the charts have been kinder to
Adam Levine and company in the past. 37,000 units isnโt the sexiest number everโฆ
Missing the top 10,
Mammoth WVH, which features
Wolfgang Van Halen (son of the late, great
Eddie Van Halen), debuts at no. 12 with โ wait for it โ
Mammoth WVH.
