There is a new name you need to know – Peter Manos.  Manos is a star in the making, one you definitely don’t want to miss out on.  Early in what promises to be an illustrious career, Manos has released three singles: “In My Head” (2018), “Out of Love” (2019), and the song at hand, “You Don’t Know Me,” which marks his second brand-new single from 2019.  It’s a good one too.

The first thing that comes to mind (rather the ears) when hearing “You Don’t Know Me” is the moody vibe.  Initially, Manos sings in an undertone, very much fitting the mold of the alternative pop and R&B landscape. The lines continue to be blurred these days, so what the young artist is giving here has ample crossover potential. Despite the fact that he initially (and generally) sings with such restraint, Manos highlights and showcases the sheer beauty of his instrument. It’s even more realized when he ascends into his upper register – his tone can be likened to the smoothness and taste of honey.

Final Thoughts

Yes, Peter Manos keeps it short on “You Don’t Know Me,” which clocks in at under three minutes.  That said, what else goes with ‘short’ but ‘sweet,’ and the vibes and potential that Manos exhibits here are definitely pretty sweet.  He has a gorgeous voice, and his subtlety just might be his ‘ace in the hole.’ You could argue “You Don’t Know Me” could pack a bit more of punch if you’re being hella nitpicky but all in all, the potential is ‘through the roof.’
