Parsa Sleighter, Az Mills | Song Review

Often sans shirt, a beautiful sight in its own right, ‘alternative princess’ Parsa Sleighter creates a beautiful song with the hypnotic and mesmerizing “Az Mills.”

Cutting straight to the chase and getting this out of the way, Parsa Sleighter (Parsa Abbasian) is easy on the eyes. What I’m saying is, yes, it is easy to objectify the self-described ‘alternative princess.’ He’s often shirtless on social media, so it’s hard not to look… respectfully, of course…. Hairy treasure trail and all. But this is not about the body bodying… It’s about “Az Mills”, Sleighter’s first single of 2026.  The last time I checked in with this handsome fella was “Bedroom Superstar”, released in 2025.  He also released “Brand New” afterwards. “Az Mills,” which features a shirtless Sleighter, much to our delight, was performed, written, and produced by him.

“Az Mills” is intriguing from the start.  It commences with rhythm guitar, setting the tone. Bass and drums enter, providing Parsa Sleighter with a sound backdrop firmly planted in the alternative sphere.  Not only does the instrumental hypnotize and mesmerize, but so does Sleighter. His vocals are easygoing, silky-smooth, and expressive; his voice floats effortlessly. Does he sweat? It doesn’t sound like it as you listen to him sing. He creates an indulgent vibe that sucks you in because it’s too enticing to resist.  Sleighter composes and delivers beautiful, tuneful melodies which perfectly complement the backdrop. The lyrics seem thoughtful, though they feel blended into the Gesamtkunstwerk – the V-I-B-E.  More commentary could be provided, but, in short, “Az Mills” is a creative, hypnotic, and radiant song by Parsa Sleighter. Does it sound like anything else you’d hear on the radio? No. Sleighter creates something unique to him, embracing rich guitar sounds/textures with cool, calm, and collected vocals.  It’s not commercial, and perhaps that is the beauty and the charm.  That and… Parsa!
