Nicki Minaj, Rich Sex [Photo Credit: Cash Money]Nicki Minaj, building towards her fourth studio album, enlists Lil Wayne for the absolutely filthy, yet hard-hitting banger, “Rich Sex.”

“If you know your pu**y worth a Benz truck / Don’t let homie f*ck unless his bands up.” Hmm.  Nicki Minaj is back… again.  After dropping singles “Chun-Li” and “Barbie Tingz”, she pairs up with Lil Wayne for “Rich Sex.” Judging by the excerpted lyrics and the song’s title, it’s clear that this joint is not family-friendly in the least.  “Rich Sex,” presumably, will end up on Minaj’s oft-delayed fourth studio album, Queen.

Looking ‘deeper’ into the content, clearly, depth is not the modus operandi.  Clearly, Nicki Minaj not only thinks a lot of herself (“I ain’t stupid, this $250 on my arm”), but so do these men.  Even so, early into her verse, she makes it clear, “I like money more than dick, n***a, that’s a fact.” Following her chorus (excerpted at the beginning of the review), she drops a repetitive hook: “If you let that broke n***a f*ck, we tellin’.”

Lil Wayne gets into the act on the second verse, as sexed-up as ever.  He kicks the verse off chocked-full of class:

“Lil mama said she only f*ckin’ on a rich dick / I cum in her face and tell her, ‘Now you lookin’ rich, bitch.”

That’s absolutely disgusting. Beyond opening with a ‘bang,’ he continues in similar, sexed-up fashion.  Give him credit for staying true to self.  Beyond the chorus and hook that follows, Nick Minaj throws in a bridge, as well as an outro.  Beyond the unapologetic lyrics and themes, the production bangs with a trap beat and a minimal piano loop.

Final Thoughts

Here’s the deal.  “Rich Sex” has no substance whatsoever.  There’s no ‘bigger picture’ to be made out of this joint.  Both Nicki Minaj and Lil Wayne talk some serious trash and don’t come anywhere close to being transcendent.  Furthermore, as aforementioned, that’s not the M.O.  It truly is about rich sex.  Even lacking meaningfulness, this is an undeniable banger, period.  Both rappers have a great flow and showcase a tough, utterly hard-nosed persona.  It’s dirty, but it leaves you pleasured… yeah, that didn’t sound right.
