Ah, Thanksgiving week! What does it mean for new music releases on Friday, November 25, 2016? It means that notable new releases on Black Friday are limited.  This week, there is just one major new release.

After breaking through in 2015 with Grammy-winning LP Beauty Behind the Madness, The Weeknd returns with his third proper album, Starboy.  Ahead of the album, he released four singles: “Starboy” (ft. Daft Punk), “False Alarm,” “I Feel It Coming” (ft. Daft Punk) & “Party Monster.” “Starboy” peaked at no. 2 on the Hot 100, hence giving the Canadian urban contemporary artist another big hit.
