Before June exits, it offers a fifth and final new music release date.  June 30, 2017 is the last shebang of the sixth month of the year, as we enter into the second half.  This particular week isn’t as ‘decorated’ as previous ones, but there’s still some good music to be acquired.  Perhaps the wallet rests easier than it did in previous weeks, but who can’t resist some Funk Wav Bounces from Calvin Harris or being Future Friends with Superfruit? Exactly.

DJ/Producer Calvin Harris returns with his fifth album, Funk Wav Bounces Vol. 1Funk Wav Bounces Vol. 1 follows Harris’ 2014 effort, Motion. 10 songs deep, four singles arrived ahead of the album: “Slide” featuring Frank Ocean & Migos, “Heatstroke” featuring Young Thug, Pharrell Williams & Ariana Grande, “Rollin” featuring Future & Khalid, and “Feels” featuring Pharrell Williams, Katy Perry & Big Sean.

Well, it seems that Pentatonix have taken a break, particularly with member Avi departing.  Nonetheless, members Mitch, Scott, and Kristen are continuing their musical endeavors in the meantime.  Mitch and Scott (Superfruit) drop their seven-song, debut pop EP, Future Friends – Part One.  Ahead of its release, promo single (and unique music video) “Bad 4 Us” arrived.  In fact, the YouTube personalities reacted to their own video. Bonus.

Washed Out – aka Ernest Greene – returns with its third studio album, Mister MellowMister Mellow arrives four years after Paracosm, which was released in August 2013.  Running 12 track deep, singles “Hard to Say Goodbye” and “Get Lost” were issued in advance of the album.

The long-awaited TLC album has finally arrived, simply titled, TLCTLC comes 17 years after the release of 3D in 2002.  Following the tragic death of Lisa “Left Eye” Lopes, TLC is now a duo. 12 songs deep, three singles were issued ahead of the album: “Way Back” featuring Snoop Dogg, “It’s Sunny,” and “Haters.”  Besides Snoop Dogg, there are no other featured guests.

Metal band Stone Sour returns with its sixth album, Hydrograd. Hydrograd serves as the follow-up to House of Gold & Bones, Pt. 2, released in March 2013.  Comprised of 15 songs, three singles arrived prior to the album’s release: “Taipei Person / Allah Tea,” “Song #3,” and “Fabuless.”

Rock musician ZZ Ward drops her sophomore album, The Storm, following a five-year hiatus.  The Storm follows her 2012 debut, Til the Casket Drops, which debuted at no. 72 on the Billboard 200.  Comprised of 11 tracks, four singles were issued prior to The Storm: “Cannonball” featuring Fantastic Negrito, “Help Me Mama,” “Domino” featuring Fitz, and “Ride” (from the Cars 3 Soundtrack) featuring Gary Clark, Jr.
