Mujinzo Releases Spirituality Uplifting ‘Delhi Station Drift’

'D
elhi Station Drift,’ a promising new release from Mujinzo, an Australian based artist, is the antidote to many unorthodox electronic listeners. It’s a unique perspective on offer here, and the songwriter dabbles in various influences to produce an instantly enthralling sound. The music is from the same-named EP, and it, like the other tracks on the brief collection, has a broad audio perspective that many will find challenging to locate and recognise elsewhere. It begins with a non-lexical vocable loop alongside a reversed sounding accordion arrangement. A synth mimics the accordion by sounds of it, and it’s incredible how it meets a hip hop beat rhythm. Furthermore, the boom-bap beat stops and starts in time with the accordions cadence, resulting in a refreshing change to other sounds currently being played. Even though the two genres are a million miles apart on paper, they seem like a marriage made in heaven in the mix.
Soon after, a Japanese wall of sound enters the mix, and we’re off on a different path, with the same hip hop beat tapping away in the background. The tune then abruptly returns to its roots, with the overture vocal sample erupting out of the production once more. It also ends with the overture layered on top of the plethora of other elements that emerged as the music proceeded.
