Mike Taveira, I wish you were driving me home → Song Review

Talented pansexual pop hottie Mike Taveira delivers a marvelous and sincere ballad with “I wish you were driving me home.”

“But none of these guys care if I live or die / And I wish you were driving me home.” None of ‘em? That’s a bummer! Despite these shitty men, talented pansexual pop hottie Mike Taveira brings the heat, per usual, on his single, “I wish you were driving me home.” Consistent, Taveira offers a few more musical wrinkles here, while continuing to sing about them B-O-Y-S. Mike composed and produced it with Alex Koste and Carly Paige.

With “I wish you were driving me home,” Mike Taveira brings us balladry. The tempo is relaxed. The sound is enigmatic and moody, despite its happy, major key.  Marvelously produced, the drum programming provides a solid anchor.  The star of the show is… Mike, of course! He takes an understated approach. Regardless, he sounds beautiful and smooth like butter. His performance is authentic and sincere.  The best section is the chorus, excerpted earlier:

“I do all these drugs and my body’s a shrine

My phone’s sliding up, I’ve got plenty to try

“But none of these guys care if I live or die

And I wish you were driving me home.”

Aww, Mike, I’d drive you home any night! FACTS! Anyways, Taveira ate and left no crumbs, again, on “I wish you were driving me home.” He’s pretty good at this indie popstar thing.
