Mariah Carey, Rainbow [๐Ÿ“ท : Columbia]For the 4th Thankful Song ๐Ÿ™๐ŸŽถ, we highlight โ€œThank God I Found Youโ€ by Mariah Carey, Joe, and 98ยบ.

โ€œThank God I found you / I was lost without you / My every wish and every dream / Somehow became reality.โ€ Sing that, ๐ŸŽ™ Mariah Carey, SING THAT! Before we dig into this inspirational standout, let me remind you the premise of Thankful Songs ๐Ÿ™๐ŸŽถ! On Thankful Songs ๐Ÿ™๐ŸŽถ, we highlight songs in which the musician (or musicians) show gratitude about something or towards someone. ย This idea came from the fact that in November, here in the United States of America, many Americans celebrate Thanksgiving.ย  So, what better way than to celebrate than select some awesome songs that exhibit gratitude? Our fourth entry comes from Carey, alongside R&B standout ๐ŸŽ™ Joe and boy band, ๐ŸŽ™ 98ยบ on ๐ŸŽต โ€œThank God I Found You,โ€ which hails as the closing song from her 1999 album, ๐Ÿ’ฟ Rainbow.

The premise of this ballad is really simple; Mariah Carey, Joe, and 98ยบ are thankful for their respective relationships. Specifically, they โ€˜thank Godโ€™ for finding true love. On the first verse, Carey asserts, โ€œI would give up everything / Before Iโ€™d separate myself from you,โ€ going on to say, โ€œI felt like dying / Until you saved my life.โ€ Joe and 98ยบ sing, on the second verse, โ€œI will give you everything / Thereโ€™s nothing in this world I wouldnโ€™t do /โ€ฆ Iโ€™ll cherish every part of you.โ€ ย They all โ€˜bring it on homeโ€™ no the chorus, excerpted above and continued as follows:

โ€œWhen you brought the sunlight
Completed my whole life
Iโ€™m overwhelmed with gratitude
โ€˜Cause baby, Iโ€™m so thankful I found you.โ€

Deeper into the song is key change, which only amplifies the gratitude and superbness of โ€œThank God I Found You.โ€
